The season just isn't the same for James Harden.

He has his numbers, another All-Star appearance, but it's different. Frustration is a key word when describing Harden's fourth season with the Houston Rockets, who take on the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night (ESPN, 10:30 ET).

"Yeah, because my first year was different," Harden said. "We weren't as talented and we still made playoffs, which was a big step for us. We have a lot of talent in this locker room, of course, coming off the Western Conference finals and being in the seventh spot right now. It's frustrating, but we still have opportunities."

Last season Harden was mentioned with Stephen Curry in a two-man race for the MVP award. Curry ended up winning the award, but Harden was the clear winner in a player vote. This season?

It seems Curry is the undisputed champ when it comes to the MVP award from the media and most likely from the players. Harden is second in the league in scoring, first in free throw attempts and makes, the leader in minutes played, the leader in assists on corner 3-pointers.

"We're not winning, so those numbers don't mean anything," Harden said.

Y'all running this shyt into the ground today huh?...

I rather him say this than the bland answers. We're at least seeing a pulse, not acceptance of mediocrity.

    He misses LA.

Trade Harden to Clippers for Blake Griffin.

Trade Dwight for a Top 3 Pick.

    Draft Buddy Hield.

    Sign Whiteside

Trade Brewer / Jones / Dekker for Jeff Teague

Resign Thornton & D-Mo. Cheap deals.

    Lineup:

    Teague / Bev
    Hield / Thornton
    Ariza / McDaniels
    Griffin / D-Mo / Harrell
    Whiteside / Capela /

Calvin Watkins is the absolute worst, he is a converted Mavs beat writer.

So if it hits the boiling point does that mean that he'll finally be to where he gives solid effort on both sides of the ball the entire game?

Hard to imagine Harden being at boiling point about anything, he most likely is frustrated, but he probably doesn't care that much.

We're past frustration and into resignation stage, James. And looking forward to wholesale changes.

Sensational, incendiary title. "Harden's frustration with his team is nearing the boiling point.

Not once did Harden direct his anger AT his teammates. He is frustrated alongside everyone else.

Clearly the frustration is due to his break up with Khloe...He will get over it after a few strip bar visits.

He showed up not in shape, didn't work on his game, didn't work on his leadership skills.

He basically thought he could just walk in after last season and start where he left off.

The title of the article doesn't fit the content.

And if he has reached a high level of frustration he better start playing defence.

If Harden played on the court like he truly embraced that sentiment, the Rockets would have more wins.

Please James. Tell us more.

I don't want to hear anything from this dude until he is going balls out on defense. Somebody get Coach K on the phone!

Should've asked Moreh for better teammates instead of a playmaker.
