I don't know what he hoped to accomplish and he lost millions of dollars in the process but I'm glad he's back. And he's healthy, fresh and playing for a contract extension. We may see the best Brown we have seen in a while. He also makes XSF better playing next to him.
Thank god. Now that he's reported and on the active roster, ask me how much a give a sht about holdouts and hurt feelings, lol. We now have a pro bowl LT on our roster to protect our rookie phenom. This is amazing news!
There's always a chance he's traded, even though they're saying the opposite. Will be weeks before he's game-shape, but still an instant upgrade.
The only team linked to him is the Seahawks, who we play next. Would make sense to wait until after the game to move him there. Either way, having Brown on the roster or receiving much needed draft compensation for 2018 is light years better than him rotting away via holdout in LA.
Because he can do the same thing again next year. I'd rather have someone who is here full time, not half the year
We need offensive line help, he is offensive line help. Probably want to explore other options in the off season if he is gonna act like this, but he's just what the doctor ordered for the 2017 squad.
Brown will likely be cut at the end of the season unless he agrees to play out the rest of his deal as is. Holding out isn't an option for him next year from a financial standpoint, he already lost $5M+ this year alone and the same would happen next year if he held out. He simply gambled and lost out, best thing for him is to play his guts out in hopes of getting a big deal after being cut or stick with it and get paid the $9.75M owed to him.
The Jaguars' game was the only one we lost as a direct result of Brown's holdout -- 10 sacks. We should be 4-2 right now atop the division with only quality losses to the top 2 teams in the AFC. Therefore, Brown better make up for this holdout with a stellar rest of the season where he protects Watson like his life depends on it.
Hard to say one player was the reason we lost that game. Defense also gave up 29 points, their 2nd biggest output outside of the Steelers who gave them the ball back 5 times. But Brown has a lot to play for so hopefully he's motivated,
How you feel about Duane Brown's holdout does not have a correlation with whether or not you are okay with players kneeling during the national anthem. Duane Brown is another example of a person with an overinflated ego who thinks he is selfless but in reality, a selfish POS. Regardless, go protect our new QB and do your damn job without complaining just like the rest of us.
With the slim margins in the Patriots game we could have easily won if 1 or 2 plays went differently. Brown would have increased the likelihood of that happening.
I wonder how fans don't want this guy. If he doesn't play on Sunday, Kendall Lamm is starting against the Seahawks. You have to protect the franchise. Shoot, had Duane Brown started game 1, the Jags may not have been as disruptive and Tom Savage could still be starting. Thank god the Jags sped up our future.
