No, it's exactly the opposite. I'm not saying I agree with Brown's move, but....

DB had the leverage..we needed him. Do you think it's a coincidence that after CC goes down, that Brown comes back? It worked out for him. No telling what kinda cheese BM laid on him.I'm assuming it was something like getting to keep all those lost checks...or at least most of it.

Yeah.... that is really deceptive, the main reason Watson has 3+ seconds to throw is because of Watson's mobility and uncanny ability to avoid pass rushers.

Takes the longest time to get the ball out would be the better description.

And that's because of his pocket work/feet.

Hoping Davenport can develop into that guy. We don't have a 1st or 2nd pick, so getting a star LT could be tough.

Just extend the guy another 4 years and draft your LT in 19. When he is ready push Duane to RT and have a day.

Eagles might need a left tackle.

The only reason he came back was because he had a deadline. It has absolutely zero to do with Chris Clark and there is no way the Texans give him his money back. Brown had zero leverage and that's why he ended up having to wait until the last minute to report. Had he had any leverage, it wouldn't have gotten to this point.

Why don't people understand this fact? sheesh!
And it's not just no guaranteed money beyond this season, it's THIS season also.
Duane just didn't want to take the chance of a career-ending injury with nothing coming in.
I usually don't agree with holdouts but this is probably the most understandable/sympathetic one I've seen in awhile.
What we should have done is just fully guaranteed his salary this year and then talked this offseason after we gauged his play.
To me DB has built up that much collateral in his career here!

I'm just glad the big fella is back and DW is still in one piece!
No hard feelings DB and I hope you retire a Texan!

I don't know if I agree with this.
I think that he just wanted to get credit for this year.
I hope you are right though and we shall see if they throw him a bone in the future.
At least Rick has been saving money these last few years on all those 2nd-4th round draft picks he cuts early.

Nope. He never had any leverage, he was just too dumb to realize it, which is why he cost himself 3 mil that he'll never get back. In the end Duane Brown is a total and complete moron, but he's smart enough to not lose credit for the whole f*cking season.
