Great defense throughout this play. This highlight cuts off the first seconds of defense. Carlisle had many options, and both KJ and Harden were impressive, imo. Will post whole play later. Note, about 8 seconds was bringing it upcourt, because Carlisle chose to take it out under his basket vs half court.

    Yes.

I despise the idea that just because a game is on the line you play by a different set of rules.

Clear foul. When the Mavs announcers admit it then yeah you call it.

I don't understand why people think you SHOULDN'T make this call. The rules are the rules, and a foul is a foul.

    It's a foul.

Whether that should be called is up to the nba I guess

That was clearly an attempt at hacking the arm and not an attempt at the ball. Smart job by Harden taking it to the Mavericks' defense.

It was too clear of a foul. Wes Matthews got beat so he was forced to smack down on Harden's shooting arm or else he had an easy lay up. It was a last resort hack. Usually the fouls that aren't called in the last possession are more disputable.

If the rules are the rules, shouldn't Harden get called for an offensive foul when he pulls on Wes's jersey?

Yup, but the refs didn't see that play. Huge distinction. If they see it they need to call it.

wow you have to look extremely close to see anything like that and you have to have an agenda and that agenda must be I hate James Harden. Looks at poster, yep.

That was definitely a foul by Wes at 0.1 but you're crazy if you think you have to look close to see that jersey pull. That's how Harden got open. He pulled Wes towards him and ran the other way. Refs didn't call it but don't say its not a foul too.

There's a jersey pull worse than that on basically every rebound...hell, one of the Mavs was probably pulling the jersey of one of the Rockets in the same moments...

And tbh we shouldn't give a **** in a game like this since the Mavs got away with at least three ridicuolous flops, they've been pretty pathetic once they realized they couldn't win otherwise.

It was a foul but the play call was great! Finally have a coach that can draw up plays instead of Iso.

The jersey pull is the sort of thing that is never called, even at less crucial stages of the game.

The foul by Matthews was pretty egregious. madr me laugh when he complained about it. was clear as day and the ref had to call it.
