Everything I read about their coach is impressive. Every interview he gives he comes off as a guy who will be influential to anyone. Could they be an underdog team this year?

    Sample article about Dunlap:

They also have nice building pieces in MKG and Biyombo. (I think Kemba is trash)

People are in for a shock when they watch the Bobcats next year. They are truly championship contenders with the addition of MKG, the development of Biyombo, and the excellent new coach who will bring a winning atmosphere to the 'Cats.
I have them slated as the second best team in the East next year behind the Heat.

    MKG >>> Wade
    Biyombo >>> Bosh
    Dunlap >>> Spoelstra

Here's to hoping Tyrus Thomas can nuetralize LeBron.

I think they could easily surprise. Expectations are so low that winning 20 games will be a surprise. One hot streak, and they're there!

Bobcats will not finish in last, that will be their only surprise. NO CHANCE FOR PLAYOFFS.

They could but a lot will have to happen like Biyombo getting it together and be consistent, Kemba playing at a high level on a consistent basis, MKG fitting in and contributing, veterans actually being worth something etc.

If they turn out all the lights at my house and and jump out from behind my couch when i get home yelling, "Happy Birthday", i might be a little surprised.

I know he isn't a significant piece, but how did the Bobcats end up with Ramon Sessions as a BACKUP PG. I really think Ramon would have made a great backup to Lin. Like Lin, Ramon can get to the line and he is even a better finisher. With Lin's durability questions, it would be nice to have another quality PG like Sessions in the stables.....

If Bobcats keeps getting lottery picks every year then they will bound to be good eventually.

No way! Kemba at least showed flashes of a NBA quality player. He can beat his opponents off the dribble and get to the rim, also averaged 15, 5 and 5 as a starter.

Bobcats will surprise us with yet another bad season.

Now if the Rockets make the playoffs and make the second round, that would be surprising.

So nobody thinks they have a chance this season... Very well, this will be a good thread to bump if everyone turns out wrong :)

They should be one of the top teams in defense with MKG and Jeff Taylor in the fold.
