This trade actually makes sense because everyone is trying to get out these contracts.

I actually like Wiggins, he plays D, gets buckets, and is super athletic.

I watch him pretty often he’s not a shooter but plays tough still a lot of untapped potential.

Paul replaces Irving, Hayward gives timberwolves something different

Wiggins plays off the ball, athletic young, won’t complain about harden having the call.

Not sure how this will help us get butler though.

A Paul for Wiggins swap. Morey is not that dumb.

Paul isn't going anyplace. Butler and Wiggins wont be here. Chill. We are looking for guys that outplay their contracts.

Is everyone pretty much certain the deal (if Jimmy can force it) would be EG/Nene for Butler who opts in and trade?

Are we thinking the Rockets would have to give up a first for Butler as well? If that's the case, I really don't know if I do it.

Is this where I go to sign the petition expressing loathing for the cheapness of our godawful new owner? Taxes. We could be watching a 7'3" guy shoot 3s next year. But luxury taxes...

I bet Minnesota would turn down a Wiggins for Paul swap too.

Lol, Andrew Wiggins does not suck. He’s a pretty darn good player averaging 18 points and 2 steals a game. His contract, however, is pretty bad. Perhaps just as bad as Chris Paul’s contract. The main difference being that Wiggins is only 23 years old and the Wolves anticipated he would turn into a superstar. Obviously that hasn’t come to fruition, at least not yet, but he’s still young. He still super athletic and has a pretty good mid range shot. His three pointer could use a little work but then again so could half the Rockets roster.

Maybe Ainge seeks veteran leadership after a lack of it last year. CP is the opposite of Kyrie. Pass first guard, supremely competitive, more vocal floor general meshing with his younger talent.

Wiggins is a pretty bad defender, takes pretty dumb shots, and honestly doesn't seem like he has the drive to want to be better.

Wiggins is soft and does not have a winners mentality. Do not want.

    Cp contract is toxic.
Agreed. He’s athletic but his defense sucks. Idk if that’s a lost cause tho. At least he’s got the talent. Question is can we definitively say Wiggins has seen his best years, same question with CP/Hayward. Regardless, I think that’s why we are testing the waters with CP. He’s appearing to be greatly on the decline and maybe we thought it wouldn’t happen as soon. He was the difference ‘18 playoffs, can’t say the same in ‘19.

    Hou out: Gordon, Capela
    Hou in: Butler, Horford

    Bos out: Hayward, Horford
    Bos in: Simmons, Capela

    Phi out: Butler, Simmons
    Phi in: Gordon, Hayward

Requires massive leaps and will never happen unless the league sees this benefits 3 major markets and pulls immeasurably long strings that only the truly tin-foiled of us can fathom.

-Houston gets it’s 2 way star and a floor spacing big
-Boston gets it’s point and coveted center
-Philly gets a suitable set of playmakers to play ball

lol the easiest way to tell who actually knows basketball: Ask them if they think Andrew Wiggins is a good player.
