Faried is a center, that is the only position he can play in a Houston system. He's undersized, but he's strictly a center. The only way we play Faried at PF is if get a center who can hit 3's (not DJ or R.Lopez).

I agree, Nene is too old to be relied upon, but he's still a Rocket and is our 3rd center behind Clint and Faried. Tucker will also continue to play small ball 5 for stretches as well.

The best we could hope for if you want size is Markief Morris at 6'10 245. His shooting would allow us to play him alongside both Faried and Clint.

scratch another player off the list as Wesley Matthews signed with the Pacers. His reasons for doing so over the Spurs, Sixers, Thunders & others? Pacers offered him a starting role as well as being a team fighting for playoffs. Both of which the Rockets could have offered, unfortunately the Rockets didn't appear to be one of his suitors due to luxury tax reasons.

Fairied is perfectly fine as a Back up Center. Your expectations of him are high because he is in a starting role right now. Onces he settles behind Capela he will excel in his back up role.
He averages 16 and 10 with us. His defense won’t be as big of a problem against back ups.

But they may be "done" so far as the playoffs are concerned.
