If the doctors were OK with it, then he would already be back. But, the doctors aren't OK with it, so there really isn't anything to talk about.
Didn't Cod mention that Morey had something else up his sleeve in regards to bigs. I always that it was Lopez but Bosh would definitely be a SPLASH.
Obviously we'd need to cut someone (Black, Hunter, or Brown) but what kind of cash do we have left on reserves now that we signed Iso Joe and B. Wright? Apparently CB4 is planning on joining the highest bidder...
Sure, of course it's his choice. I actually argued this same thing (from your point) with my sister and brother in law who are both doctors, but they eventually convinced me that this thing is so so risky that it's not comparable to CTE or concussion in football. It's just a really really bad idea to play contact sports on blood thinners.
Veteran's minimum. Highest bidder? Chris is crazy. 1. Isn't he still getting paid that max contract by Miami even though it's not on their books? 2. No one is in a bidding war for someone who could die on the court 2a. No one is in a bidding war for someone who hasn't played ball in 2+ years. _________________ Bosh, who sat out last season and missed the latter half of the previous two seasons because of blood clots, has a guaranteed contract that would pay him $25.3 million next season and $26.8 million for the 2018-19 season. But most of his contract is covered by insurance and his contract will no longer count against the Heat's salary cap. Bosh's blood clots moved into his lung in 2015, but received immediate treatment with blood thinners. Those blood thinners, which are used as typical treatment for clots, create another potentially dangerous situation if Bosh were cut or badly bumped, causing bruising, while playing. http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/new...-cap-cleared-career/csttpzthgv4718x204hafffd8 _________________
When Bosh says "highest bidder" what he means is....he is not settling for an iPad. Gimme that iPad Pro!
That's what puzzled me. I'm not sure who would be willing to pay for a guy that could potentially die on the court let alone him thinking he can create a bidding war for potential suitors. It's definitely not like he's hurting for money. I honestly doubt he ever manages to see the court again.
They have to pass a physical. Also, not being out in the field is not the same as being retired. There are other kinds of jobs. It's sad that Bosh still is having so much trouble with this. There are so many other things he could do with his time and money.
I would pass. Can you imagine what it could do to our team if Bosh drops dead on the floor playing for the Rockets? And I think we're playing well enough that we don't really NEED him (as much as I'd love to see somebody more reliable take Ryno's minutes).
I can just imagine it now. We sign him and he plays in our first home game. Good ol Bill Worell and the guys are calling the game. Bosh suddenly falls to the floor in agony grasping his chest... Bill: “ahh there goes the veteran Bosh, he sure knows how to flop with the best of them, aye Clyde?” Clyde: “so easy just like clubbing baby seals he he he” Bull: “uh guys he’s not moving” Bill: “oh yeah Bull he’s a master at the flop!” *paramedics rush to the court*
