He's got the job for two more weeks. I hope he enjoys it. And I'd like to see the guy get one win before he fades into the sunset, just one win. Win one for the Case!
My boy Case had a bad game today. All part of Growing pains. My prediction still stands. Week 1 starter for the Texans next season. Hundley will be his backup.
There is no chance of this, haha. Case has regressed every single week...and it's only going to get worse once teams continue to pick apart his weaknesses.
You don't set all the NCAA passing records with no talent. He has talent, he is in the wrong situation. His first few games were very impressive. His inability thus far to adjust to the blitz packages they are throwing at him and the shaky offensive line have spelled doom. His confidence is shot.
Sure ya do, in the right college system, similar to the QB's who held the records before him. He has talent, but it doesn't appear that he has "starting NFL QB" talent, which is probably why he didn't get drafted and why his game keeps regressing. His inability to pick up a blitz and poor throws don't have anything to do with his situation. It has to do with him.
Timmy Chang, Landry Jones, Graham Harrell, Ty Detmer, Kellen Moore, Colt Brennan. All successful NFL QBs.
I think what we're seeing at this point, is that the first 2-3 games he played and put up numbers was due to the stark contrast in our offense from Matt Schaub. Case was slinging it down field and teams were still playing the short game like Schaub was still in there. Teams put safeties over the top and Case has just been totally exposed with his short game accuracy and decision-making. I think he could still improve, but not behind this offensive line.
