i understand harden is great at it, but i feel like its been overkill lately. we bail defenses out too much with it when we have the skill and personnel that can get much easier baskets a la GS and san antonio.

it seems earlier in the year we would get a lot more assists per game and played a little faster. i dont like the look of the offense lately. we aren't scoring as much or being as efficient. i believe this is because we are doing too many isolations for james and cp3.

Honestly, I feel they are just trying to rest up by isoing and slowing down the pace, pacing themselves for the playoffs. Is not always pretty, but you can't argue with results.

Only if it’s in joes hands......
But I wouldn’t be against some more ball movement.

The whole offense is built off iso pick and roll. Find another team if you are tired of it

Its the most efficient offense in nba history. So NO Im not tired of it

if they keep this up we will not make the finals. this is not going to work in the playoffs. why not make it easy and just move the ball ? im not saying we need to cut it out completely. great offense can be generated out of ISOs but it has become too iso dependent.

yea our isoball is the best isoball in the league...but we need to kickstart the motion offense. Come playoff time thats what we need with isoball coming on breakdowns or mismatches.

GSW gets a sh*t load of TO's because they are passing 5 times a possession. Harden and CP3 Isoing is pretty efficient. Lebron and Kyrie won a championship isoing GSW to death.

Eh, the ISO's should come as a function of a team switching, not simply clearing out over Holiday and Liggins, pretty excellent man defenders/

Harden's ISO's are at their best when he penetrates. The off-dribble stuff is the garbage that should be thrown out unless it's a late shotclock thing.

They definitely haven't been as deadly as they should be offensively. Not using Clint enough.

Its also the big difference in the raptors this yr. They have even a worse reputation when it comes to post season mostly because they were iso-ing so much. A lot more ball movement with them. I think Mike just needs to make a point of it so the offense doesn't stagnate. The rockets need to open the floodgates and move the ball with everybody shooting the rock on most posessions

you will not like this, when the time comes that: JH13 dribbles the times out and make a last second long distance shoot, which is likely to miss, as the intensity arises in playoff games. You can't rely on hero ball.

ball movement is never a shortage, move the ball a bit more.

This iso/hero ball is too stagnant and predictable and it’s just not a good shot.

Good defensive teams like the warriors want you to settle for contested jumpers.

Plus, rockets have been scoring a lot less for over a month now.

yup yup yup. However, CP3 being there helps is switch and make that change. The problem is that James can be stubborn about it. I really hope he reels it in a bit though. I just want for us to succeed in the postseason and shut all these talking heads up

Can we discuss this point? Are Harden and CP using iso ball to get rest during the game? If so, is that smart, even if slightly less efficient per possession than a more complex offense? Is it enabling them to play better defense? And to play more minutes? And reducing their risk of injury?
