    Nope, I like winning.

Best offense in history while playing at a leisurely pace, can't ask for much more.

i think this is in part to teams figuring out a way to take away the pnr lobs. So the wrinkle is switch until Harden or Paul are ISOd on a big or slow defender. Is it much different than throw it to Dream in the post? “Backing it in, backing it in...”

This. We didnt get farther last year not because of harden.

But because we only had harden

People here act like last years team was a lock for a chip if it wasnt for harden

Harden didnt hold this team back last year its the opposite

Ask hardens biggest fan in san antonio

    Basketball statistics-Wikipedia defines ppp as:
points a team scores for each possession regardless of a team’s pace.

    For reference; post ups
    Tobias Harris..........10.7 frequency...............1.09 ppp....................91.1 NBA percentile
    Casspi......................5.6 frequency...............1.20 ppp....................98.3 NBA percentile

I expect Joe Johnson to be near 1.17 ppp by playoff time. At about his 19% frequency is very good.
Again, having good players who can space the floor improves his numbers over say....Utah last year.

    Another option when needed.

Just want to make sure I've got the gist of this thread.

The team with the best record in the league by 3 games is doing things wrong.

    Is that basically it?

I utterly hate Iso ball. It violates the first principle of basketball; everytime you pass the defense must reset, so whip the ball around. The Rockets dribble the cover off the ball. The defenders rest. Yet, they are in first place, so it is working from them, at least now. As for me, I love to see that ball flying around and the defenders struggling to keep up.

Why make 5 passes to get a good shot when you only need one good pass to get a good shot?

I don't mind the ISOing. The only thing I have a problem with is waiting out the clock and then when the ISO is defended, not having enough time for a secondary action via a pass and shot.

you must hate that the rockets are 1st seed now and harden is the MVP

what's the first principle of bball?

    outscore the opponent?
put the ball in the hoop?
    shoot a wide open shot?
    drive agressively to the rim?
make an average of 5 passes every possession LOL

Who do you think are the rockets best 5 passers? Rank them...

You hate step back 3s, wide open 3s, and driving aggressively at will?

This is not the same team, with all due respect. How hard is that to understand?

I love to see balls going in the basket.

    You can keep your motion.

I think this year's Rockets may be pretty good.

and I think they may be a tad more sophisticated on offense than you think -- what with being kind of the best ever?

    just a hunch..
