In regards to SOA, the first half of season one was spectacular, but it probably should have been a 12 episode anime because the quality fell off the cliff when they went into the other game. Haven't even bothered with season 2 because the back half of 1 was so terrible. This Fall crop was really weak.
The same was true for season 2. I think you'll enjoy the first half season 2 but then stop watching once they go back into fairy land or whatever.
what are you currently following? For me it's: Yowamushi Pedal KonoSuba Little Witch Academia Youjo Senji looks interesting. Haven't seen tales of zesteria and blue exorcist season 1 so i don't want to start season 2.
Behind the times I know, but my lady & I just blew through the first 2 seasons of Haikyu in a couple weeks. We will probably wait until this weekend to just marathon season 3 in one sitting considering the... nature of the shortened season (don't want to spoil it for anyone). Just gotta say holy balls, I really love the show. Only watched Kids on the Slope a few months ago as well and really loved that. Makes me think I should take a harder look at the anime that's out there from the past 8 years or so, because I've been ignoring it for awhile. Too much other good stuff to watch just kinda made me forget about anime. The last anime series I paid close attention to was Death Note. After that anything that's not a Ghibli film hasn't been on my radar.
I'm currently watching: Dragonball Super Blue Exorcist All Out! Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju Retroactively watching: Joker Game Assassination classroom Going to start watching: Yowamushi Pedal Fate/Grand Order (might be **** but gonna give it a bit) Waiting for: Attack on Titan
Oh man I am looking forward to the spring season. AoT, My Hero Academy, and DanMachi season 2s. Don't think there really was one stand out this season, just a solid season overall. Yowamushi Pedal Little witch academia KonoSuba ACCA Blue exorcist Shouwa Genroku These most likely going to be the top shows for me this season.
http://www.cbr.com/attack-on-titan-manga-editor-arrested-for-murder/ The first editor on the massively popular manga “Attack on Titan” has been arrested on suspicion of murder. According to Sankei Shimbun (via Tokyo Reporter), on Tuesday, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police took Park Jung-Hyun into custody for the alleged murder of his wife in 2016. The incident took place in the early morning on August 9. At 2:50 AM, Park called emergency services to report that his wife “had collapsed.” When authorities arrived at the couple’s residence, she was found lying face-up at the base of the stairwell in a state of cardiopulmonary arrest. She was announced dead at the hospital approximately one hour later. Park told police that his wife, whose forehead had “light gashes” but whose body showed no other outward signs of physical trauma, had fallen down the stairs. An autopsy later revealed the cause of death as suffocation due to pressure applied around the neck. Park eventually changed his initial story, claiming she “committed suicide by hanging herself by a handrail.” Park (41) and his wife (38) lived in the Bunkyo Ward with their four children. He was the initial editor for “Attack on Titan” when it launched in “Bessatsu Shonen Magazine” in 2009, and had recently shifted duties to editing the manga “Weekly Morning.” Park’s employer, Kodansha, has declined to comment on the case .
This is a bit of an older show but you guys ever watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica? It's a magical girl show but extremely twisted and dark. This show was recommended to me because it looks cute but is actually a subversive and dark story. I'm about halfway through and the reports are true. Talk about playing with genre tropes and twisting them around. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has seen it and what they thought.
Anyone have a good HD copy of Kimi no Na wa (Your Name) with English subtitles? I can't seem to find one anywhere. Kiss has a lower quality one.
