It's a good thing he turned down that offer sheet match from the Rockets, he almost made 9 million this year. Instead he will get 1.1m this year and have an opportunity to earn a lot more next year. Great job BJ Armstrong!

 

I don't know honestly. They just piggybacked one another so much on the D-Mo stuff it was fun to say and it could be true. So much like TJ and bigtexx from D&D days, which are long past for me. I earned and received a hard ban here for some nasty posts over the Comcast situation some years ago. When I was allowed back I made a conscious choice to leave the D&D forever. I've skimmed the front page of it maybe 5 times and maybe even clicked on one post but I haven't even been lurking there.

For a time the D&D was pretty cool and I really enjoyed it. Then it just turned awful. Maybe it always was and I just didn't see it because of my part in it. But I don't go in that filthy room anymore. I come here to talk Rockets and NBA almost exclusively now, apart from occasionally plugging a play I've worked on in the Hangout.

 

So 'holic is a maybe?

I can understand you staying away from D&D. You're right, it used to be pretty cool. The preservation of my sanity probably deserves a higher priority than I give it. I still post there, but not as much as I used to. The trolling has become damn near unbearable, and that was the case long before the recent election. I'll take the time to write 3 paragraphs in response to an OP, for example, and far too often get a one line, very nonsensical post in reply, clearly meant to irritate me. My ignore list keeps growing, and primarily due to what I now sometimes call The Basement (it can feel like one late at night). I've gone so far as to ask Clutch in Feedback if he could enable "forum specific" ignoring of a member, mainly due to a schizophrenic delight some have in trolling down there, and yet the same members can be nice to read in the basketball forums and Hangout.

If I wasn't such a political junkie, a junkie who enjoys genuine conversations about not only politics, but a host of other "controversial" topics, I'd give it up, like you and several others have over the years. ClutchFans remains the only BBS I actually take the time to post in and I love the place, so I don't give myself any real alternative. I spend enough time here as it is without spreading myself too thin!

I think in the end D-Mo really wanted to face his nemesis T-Jones and proved who's the better power forward. He had the chance to play with Houston, but he rejects it and he now ends up in Pelicans not a coincidence. I hope D-Mo wins.
