at first i agreed with Clutch with that one great BEV performance when he came back. But now with these previous games. His thesis is beginning to go a little pear shaped. Those 2 grizzlies games really sucked big time. Don't want to labelled a LOF at this point especially in clutch fans. Maybe both of them are not the one.

I have a suspicion that Clutch got this proof straight from Rockets brass and the data extends back to last year as well.

With that said, who plays point between Bev and Lin isn't the key to us winning. Getting a solid big man rotation is. Bev and Lin are both decent shooters when given space and time. They're decent, not great, but decent. The problem is our big man rotation allows defenses to shade. When you put Harden at the point and one of the bigs sets the pick, that leaves you with 2 shooters essentially for Harden to throw it to....the point guard and the small forward. Elite defenses know that and they play tight on those two positions forcing them to step out further and take contested 3's.

It's real simple. Way too many contested 3's when we play elite defenses. The solution is you have to spread the floor with one of the bigs. It's just real simple. As long as we can't do that, everybody's 3-point shooting percentages are going to suffer.

What are you guys basing your numbers on cause it isn't basketball stats

    Beverley:

    31.8 MPG
    8.6 FGA
69 assist total for 2.4 from 29 games played
    39% FG%
    32% 3P%
    3.9 RPG

    Lin:

    30.5 MPG
    9.3 FGA
    151 assist total for 4.2 from 36
    .46 - FG%
    .33 - 3P%
    2.3 RPG

The only thing I say Beverley is better than Lin is not turning over the ball. I would rather have Lin starting over Beverley. So whoever said Lin would take shots away is a damn fool cause he gives more assist and take same amount of shots as Beverley. It comes down to ppl not liking Lin for whatever reason IMHO

We aren't living and dying by Lin/Beverley when our two superstars can't stay on the floor and get eaten by Courtney Lee

Its a bit worrying how poorly Harden has performed against strong-on ball defenders, exception of Bradley who he was clowning, but it comes back to Harden literally having to go 1v5 cause theres no offball action

If you're too busy to read the article, then why bother posting baseless stats that have already been addressed.

I never understood this argument. Beverley takes 8.6 shots per game as a starter and Lin has taken 9.9 shots as a starter. So you have an issue with Lin taking an extra 1.3 shots even though of the players who play more than 10 minutes a game he is tied for third in TS% (58.3%) and the fifth highest eFG% (51.6%) on the team?

don't bother. The article cites numbers using net rating, showing the starting 4 + bev have a higher net rating than the starting 4+ Lin.

But check out the OKC and LAC stats for net rating. LAC has a higher rating starting Collison!! An OKC has a higher net rating starting Reggie Jackson! Guess Russell should be coming off the bench when he comes back!!

Yeah, sorry, forgot to put some indication of sarcasm. On a serious note, Bev fits better with Harden because he doesn't get in the way of Harden, there's no conflict with who dominates the ball. The coaching staff clearly wants to ride and die with Harden, not surprising since he's a max contract superstar.

But obviously if they can find a way to trade Lin, they should, he's a serious waste of money at this point.

Beverly seems like a good dude, but he is the ****tiest starting PG in the league. He would not start on any other team.

I am a LOF and I see truth in this. It's the way Rockets is construted. Get Lin a first draft and hope he goes to a team bettet suited his skills.

Lol, Westbrook is so overrated, aside from his assists, he's an overrated chucker, 43% FG 30% from 3, per 36, those are JR Smith numbers.
