Sounds like some sort of Fantasy Basketball deal. All the other owners are angry and are asking for a Veto!!
Don't forget the CBA is not ratified by the owners, they could simply lock the players back out........ DD
Regardless of whether it's good or bad for the Rockets, I think it sucks that the "independent" management of the Hornets are getting politicked out of running their franchise. At first, I thought the whole thing was a puzzling move for the Hornets to make, but now that I know the haul, it's a great trade for them and it's ridiculous that someone can go over their heads and kill the deal.
Why? The other owners are footing their bills, they should not be able to take on more salary and take money away from other teams. They need a new owner first. DD
In the interest of fairness, if the Owners vetoed this trade, that is bull****. It was a fair deal that all sides agree on, and I much rather see CP3 in LA than Dwight. There is no chance Orlando takes a deal will Bynum as a center piece. Right now, the Lakers look real weak without a notable big man to dump the ball too. They are barley a 50 win team imo. I think with what we gave up, we should be getting Paul. Do the same deal but instead of Odom, put in Morris. Maybe switch Scola for Lowry.
Good. This is the best thing that can happen. Some of you idiots wanted to trade Martin, Scola, and more for Pau Gasol. I refuse to root for this team with him in red.
Talk about awkward! The whole Rocket's organization, especially Morey looks bad. If I were the Rockets players I would be really angry.
Damn, I wanted Gasol. And it's even worse because Scola and K-Mart aren't gonna be happy. The NBA is so damn gay...
Look how classy this guys are: http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/nba/111208-rockets-about-to-land-pau-gasol-in-blockbuster-deal Plus, I'd imagine they are relieved for staying with the Rockets. Who would prefer N.O.?
I hope this trade doesn't go through. The assets the Rockets have are to bring in a "superstar", not a Gasol. It was just to much to give up for only Gasol. To me, the Lakers didn't give up much while the Rockets gave up a bounty!!! It's the Rockets players the Hornets wanted. The trade should be between Houston and New Orleans anyway.
