I think it's because NBA owns NOH, that's why they need to vote.

So now the players and the owners both have to approve deals? This is part of the new CBA?

I bet it was Cuban who pushed hard to block it.

Back to the being a fringe playoff/lottery team! This deal shook our team up, for the better or for the worse. It would have pushed us out of idle towards a more clear direction, an improved team with Gasol and potentially Nene/whoever (moot point now) or potentially an even worse team with a higher draft pick

The NBA owns the New Orleans Hornets, they have NO OWNER, so all the owners have to supply the cash shortfall to run that team.

Therefore they are voting to NOT take on more salary for New Orleans, makes perfect sense to me.

Thank you Jesus!! Although it cleared some cap room I was not in favor of this deal. Only way we're gonna become relevant again is if we tank and get top 5 pick. Sad but true.

How can the NBA block a trade for a team it is running?

That's just specifically for New Orleans because the league owns it.

This is a roller coaster, I'm dizzy and I don't want it to stop, this is just a false stop in mid air, that's what I hope.

That I can accept, wholeheartedly, as long as we keep our picks.

gift wrapping what? Lakers would not be any better without Gasol. And Kobe is on his last legs.

Houston, OKC, Dallas, Memphis, San Antonio, probably even New Orleans could run them into the ****ing ground. Just in the West alone
