I wish I had something out of left-field, but I think this year it'll be more straightforward. If it's not one of the rumored names, then i think morey will only make minor transactions. Like Scola for the greek tmac?
My prediction (and I am really going out on a limb here): the Rockets will/won't trade by the deadline and most Clutchfans won't like it, but some will. Bold and refeshing.
We will trade away a wing player for a big to open up playing time for T-Willy. As specific as I could make it.
We will come up short in deals like for instance Mayo/Thabeet, Nene, Wallace, Omer Asik and end up making small moves for the summer(more waiting ) and having basically the same roster/starting line-up at the end of the deadline.
I could see DM offering Yao for Camby. Don't know if Portland would be interested. Dalembert more likely.
11.8 M for 2 years. Not the worst contract, but he isn't likely to help us much. Getting the 1st round pick from them will be very hard. I think your offer won't cut it.
Battier won't be a Rocket by the deadline. No one will trade their stars to us, but we'll still abuse some of the franchises hemorrhaging money as we dump some expirings (Yao/Jeffries/Brooks) off for potentially high picks. By the end there will be no question that we are rebuilding/aiming to acquire a superstar at a later time (Paul/Dwight/Deron).
I think we're going to land Brook Lopez. I think we'll garner 2 extra first rounders. CLee will remain a Rocket.
rockets trade for Oden and resign Yao for the new twin towers and the rockets hire Mr. Miyagi as our team trainer for his heated hand therapy
