We could also do Hill+Battier+ picks+ cash for thabeet and mayo A bit of a stretch but... Lowry/Smith Martin/Mayo Wallace/ Williams Patterson/Hayes Camby/ Thabeet Rest Of the roster??... Idk
My "i wish we could get all this" and MIGHT be posssible would be. Rox get from Portland: Andre Miller (next year is unguaranteed) Rudy Fernandez (rookie deal) Nicolas Batum (rookie deal) Marcus Camby (has one more year at 12 millions) Portland get: Battier (expiring), Jeffries (expiring), Brooks and Buddinger. Rox get from charlotte: Nazr Mohammed (expiring) Gerald Wallace (two more years at 10.5M each) Charlotte gets: Yao Ming (expiring) Minesotta gets: Courtney Lee Jordan Hill NY first rounder Rox Get: Rubio´s rights whatever to complete the deal. Rox lineup: Miller/Lowry Martin/Fernandez Wallace/Batum/Fernandez Scola/Hill/Patterson Camby/Mohammed/Hayes And we can keep Miller another year if Rubio is not coming. Fernandez can play a part in him coming.
Nash should be a target. It's the only real superstar that is possible to get for the Rockets. IMO, this way is far better than tanking, in getting Rockets out of mediocrity. Nash is 37, but still at his prime, his game relies in his genius IQ more than athleticism, so he could at least play 2 more seasons at this level. The point of bringing Nash is convincing other (younger) superstar to come next season. For other superstars, sharing the team with a ballhog like Melo would mean having worse stats, with Nash is the opposite, they know Nash is a booster for their numbers. And it's the most possible real superstar to get. Rockets have more assets to give the Suns than any other NBA franchise. It could be done this way Rockets give Yao Ming Jordan Hill Aaron Brooks Chase Budinger Rockets get Nash Childress Robin Lopez They save A LOT of money with Yao insured expiring, and getting rid of Childress contract. Robin Lopez is not very useful for them right now. And they get 3 good young players. Besides, a draft pick could be added as sweetener. Rockets get a real superstar, and a serviceable 7 footer, and even Childress could find a role. Don't you think it could be a possible scenario?
Demarcus Cousins Gerald Wallace Dasagna Diop for Aaron Brooks - Sac Yao Ming - Char Chase Budinger - Char Jordan Hill - Sac Knicks 2012 First Rounder - Char Clippers 2nd Rounder - SAC Get our high potential center, upgrade at SF, and gets under the tax line. Sounds like a Morey deal. Charlotte and Sac would only do it for non-basketball reasons
If the former Nash trade works, a backcourt of NAsh/Kmart would be a severe D problem. So let's guess about more trades. So I'd trade Kmart for Iggy. Now Kmart has clear more trade value, so there should be no problem, even soemthing else could be gotten from the Sixers. And to ice the cake, Okafor could be gotten (Charlotte is not that happy with such big contract)...there would be still assets to get him, JJ , plus something (Patterson, draft pick?), could do the trick. Just imagine the final roster: PG: Nash. Lowry, Ish SG: Iggy, Lee SF: Battier, Williams PF: Scola, Hayes C: Okafor, Miller, Lopez Just think about this final roster, don;t you think it's far better and more balanced than current roser?
1. Phoenix does not want to trade Nash. 2. Yes young superstar (Stoudamire) sure stayed with Nash... 3. Superstars like Howard are not stupid. They know Nash has maybe 1-2 years left in him and after that they would be in the same situation they are in now. Other stars "in the market" are also PG's, so they won't team up with Nash.
Why not. Rockets will have Landry, Thabeet, and Mayo by the deadline. Not saying I want or do not want anyone listed, just my prediction.
1.) Yao for G. Wallace + N. Mohammed 2.) Scola + Brooks + Battier + Jefferies for Randolph + Mayo roster after deadline: Mohamed, Hayes, Miller Randolph, PatPat, Hill G. Wallace, Budinger K. Martin, Lee, T-Will K. Lowry, Mayo, Ish i wish...
1.-How can you be so sure? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-what-the-steve-nash-trade-talks-will-lead-to 2.-Stoudamire, like Melo, had fancy city as main target, as Melo. Not all superstars give more priority living in a fancy city than their own career, wins, and stats. 3.-At least 2 years (seeing Nash now, playing at his best), not a bad option, specially when you see a bunch of good role players (current rockets) that would give a good chance of getting a ring. I'm not saying I'm absolutely right, but Nash is an interesting option IMO, more insteresting considering is the ONLY real superstar that Rockets could possibly get, giving the right assets to the Suns.
No big trade will happen, I'm almost sure of it. At most I feel Morey will pull a lateral trade with a minor piece.
