Mississippi coronavirus: Health department reports 498 new cases, the highest number for a single day https://www.clarionledger.com/story...ths-498-new-cases-reported-june-8/5317359002/
Liberals everywhere are sad that the death rate is dropping so fast. Their political hopes have fully shifted to defunding the police!
That's really a sick thing to say. If you really believe that then I honestly feel sorry for you. There are far more good people in this world than sick twisted ones who get pleasure out of people dying.
Some of the latest stuff out of MN is that while cases are up hospitalization and deaths are dropping. I'm not sure if this yet includes people from the big protest. MN had been spiking during May but it has been very warm for MN the last two weeks so there might be something to that heat slows down the virus.
You keep up the good fight... Texas reports a record number of hospitalized coronavirus patients after state reopened early CNBC Texas reported a record number of coronavirus hospitalizations Monday — weeks after Gov. Greg Abbott took the lead among governors in easing social distancing measures to help bring jobs back. There are currently 1,935 Covid-19 patients in hospitals across the state, topping the previous hospitalization record of 1,888 patients on May 5. Texas was among the first states to relax its statewide stay-at-home order. How many people are in the hospital with COVID-19? Texas just set a record WFAA - Dallas/Fort Worth Texas hit a record high for people with COVID-19 in hospitals, according to new data from the Texas DSHS. As of June 8, there are 1,935 patients in Texas hospitals receiving treatment for COVID-19. Hospitalizations are trending higher across Texas, according to the data. Texas hospitals have seen a steep increase in the number of new patient admissions since May 25. As Texas businesses reopen, COVID-19 case totals are rising. The state says hot spots like prisons and meatpacking plants are key factors. Texas Tribune Throughout the state, the number of new cases reported each day has grown from an average of about 1,081 during the week ending May 24 to about 1,527 in the past week. Part of the state’s increase of new confirmed cases reported since late May is a result of mass testing in some prisons. But determining exactly how much of the statewide increase comes from prison testing is complicated because DSHS does not include all prison cases in the statewide total. Travis County reports 118 new coronavirus cases in largest single-day hike to date Austin American-Statesman Travis County officials on Monday confirmed 118 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of known cases to 3,815. The increase represents the largest single-day increase in Travis County since the beginning of the pandemic. The previous record was on June 1, when the county reported 88 new cases. The county also reported a new death in connection to the virus. The total is now 98.
I don't see how heat might slow it down when Arizona, Texas, and Florida are trending upwards as temps get hotter, and are much hotter temps than Minnesota.
Takes a little while for sick people to die, so the deaths may be low from the past wave ending, but the hospitalizations ramping up for the deaths incoming. Hopefully not though.
Guessing the hotter temps are driving people inside to the AC ... and unfortunately the circulated air.
This just shows how clueless you are. Tuesday is always one of the peak days, and it's continuing a downward trend from the prior Tuesdays. Look at the 7 day average daily death rate trend on Worldometers. It's dropping like a rock. Educate yourself. ...and @Rashmon, I'm lol'ing at your anecdotal CASE COUNT links. Number of tests matters, kid.
Things seem to have slowed down statistically, though the reasons seem very muddled to me. But what really worries me is that COVID-19 is following a similar trajectory as the 1918 flu. And as everyone is aware, the second wave of that pandemic was much worse than the first wave. Here's hoping that modern medicine (and a potential vaccine) can keep COVID-19 from avoiding that kind of disaster.
For someone who was so wrong about the coronavirus at first, your arrogance is hilarious. Still think that the coronavirus is largely confined to China? LMAO! I'm surprised that you haven't gotten tired of getting owned yet, that George Floyd autopsy thread was brutal, for you.
