this isnt the same NBA as two years ago. there are way more contenders that have skilled bigs. do you seriously believe we can get stops against elite teams with PJ tucker playing center ?? even if they miss they can reach over us for rebounds. especially guys like AD and giannis. do you understand how big and explosive these guys are ?

some other execs and insiders have described houston as desperate to get rid of capela. please do not be fooled into believing they really believe this is to help us win. this is about ducking the tax. this isnt because we just believe so much in small ball we want to trade our only big, its because he makes the third most on the team and 25 years old which makes him easiet to move. you guys are being bamboozled if you really think this is in the interest of winning. things would have been handled a lot different the last couple of years if thats what we were all about.

Nope. Westbrook handles ball too much to sit under basket in dunker spot.

well considering that's not the role of the only non-shooter spot, he's pretty much spot it. thinking that spot just sits under the basket is pretty ridiculous and incredibly low iq

Rockets need that 3rd forward. Ariza-Luc-Tucker could switch everything.

Even with Tucker and RoCo, still need to upgrade from House.

Either Clarke, Trez or AG would be my preference.

Or take a chance on Jonah Bolden, like we did with Luc.

D'Antoni would prefer to not have a short corner. Didn't have one with the Suns either...

We don't match up to them.

    They match up to us.

Suns also did not have 2 MVP ballhandlers with 1st and 2nd highest usage in NBA.

Lol they won't have to, and even if they did Lakers just put AD at the 5 and it's still a huge mismatch. They can destroy us at our own game.

Does Clint help us win games? How much does he impact the bottom line?

    10-1 without Clint.

    Russ acquisition changed team dynamics.

no, we don't. why do you guys keep pretending like we havent been a top 3 offense the entire year ?

westbrook won an MVP with a non shooting big in adams and some of the worst outside shooters in the league. why ? because of defense and rebounding. why is everyone on this forum pretending like we have struggled to score any points with WB and capela active? westbrook gets to the basket and he can get there with capela there or not. is it a little easier without capela in there ? sure. but the trade off of not getting as many stops or securing rebounds isn't worth it. its not like we have to play those two together the entire game also. we were right there in the 2 seed not that long ago now all of the sudden its been some massive struggle here and we must trade a key piece of our defense. this is ridiculous.

yup. dynamic of the team just changed. no idea why people think you can build the same team with cp3 as you do with wb. that makes no sense. you need different guys to help maximize the combo of harden/wb. and right now that guy is unfortunately capela who does not fit

He shot 34% from 3-PT that year. This year he is 24%. That changes things.

so what ? he had no spacing at all and still got to the rack and made things happen. even with clint we have a ton more spacing than he had then just from james gravity alone. this has allowed him to abandon the 3ball altogether

Because they actually used to guard him outside the 3-point line that season. Now they just sit back and wait in the lane.

Its not like I wanna do it. I love Brodie and I think he can win us the chip with trades, but this trade for him was a mistake. Went Clint is on the floor our defense is like 17th in the league. Its not good.

yup just another added defender for harden along with capela's man. its been obvious since the season started with all the defensive looks hes seen

harden's impact on winning is much greater than wb's
