I want another starter, but not for upside solely. Upside is great and all, but I mostly want one for one more healthy arm to allow Whitley, and Javier to slowly build up innings so that they aren't gassed by the playoffs. If in house options fail before trade deadline, get a good starter then.
Need another starter for sure.. I’m not as high on Mcullers as some of you. The most innings he has thrown is 128 and he can be erratic at times.
All I know is someone in this story was a tremendous *******. Might've been her, might've been Security. My bet is on both. But someone was an unrepentant ******* for this to happen.
Luhnow said he is limited to 120-130 innings or so. I expect him to make 20 starts and be the 4th starter in the playoffs.
I expect McCullers to be limited to ~20 starts (~100 innings) in the regular season, then shift to the bullpen for the playoffs. For that to work, ideally it means Urquidy will be a great 4th SP and they added someone who can fill the 3rd spot (or Whitley dramatically exceeds expectations).
Hypothetical scenario men. What would yall trade for Charlie Fn Morton today? At the trade deadline assuming he's healthy? There is no random trade thread
Not a ton. I don’t think he can be counted on to post another 6 war season. But of course I’d love to have him. Maybe 3 non-Whitley prospects (something like Abreu, Toro, and Javier)?
Depends on prospect cost, CFM is priced about right money wise. If we could get him for C Perez, Martes and a lower level guy, I’m in.
If the offense plays to its potential, the division race won't be close, even if everyone beyond JV, Greinke and the pen struggle. What really matters is what happens when we face NYY in the postseason.
