At a reasonable cost though. Trading away a first round pick or two AND Clowney for him would be the worst acquisition we've ever had.
It is supposed to keep people from holding out into the regular season. After a certain point, your ONLY options are accept what's offered for the year and try again after the season or take nothing at all. You can't leverage missing regular season games into a raise.
