Agreed about Toronto being in asset collection mode, I just don't think they want the Rocket's asset =p.

Siakams is 25 and will be a restricted free agent in 2020-21

I agree about Ennis however Melo isn't a typical vet minimum signing.

He is a diva who happened to draw the salary from OKC or NY that was still owed to him.

MCW was a bad shooter throughout his career, you dun need to be a scout to know that. Guess we needed elite shooters badly.

Both were questionable fits to start with. Even a half blind man could 'sense' that.

This 'outperform your contract' slogan is getting old, breh! Sounds like you are doing a commercial whenever you say it.

    Throw 2 firsts at them?

Siakam is the perfect fit at the 4 for us. Perfect long 4 to play with Harden. Getting his RFA status would be worth 2 crappy firsts

Guys, Toronto is rebuilding around Siakim...they turned down PG and Westbrook for him. He's not going anywhere.

That's pretty incredible. That also means KL would have stayed. Hard to believe.

    This.

And they're smart to keep him. He's developing into a star.

    Not true.

Siakam probably wasn't even enough to get Westbrook lol.

Because it's not true, look the tweet above.

I like Siakam too and want the Rockets to go after him now but man, people need to stop talking about him like he's a player to build a franchise around, smh...

I don't know if that's true, i guess we'll see but i'm not sold on that, i know the Raptors might want to keep him, i also know that he's not a star and that being 25 there's a little chance he would be part of a full rebuild if that's what the Raptors plan to do.

1st - - I do not doubt nor second guess Masai at this point.
2nd - - PS' becoming the face of The North has certainly 'been out there'.
3rd - - the sun don't shine so bright for that gent to make it to H-town (in any foreseeable timeframe)

Tbh i didn't heard anything about Siakam being now the face of the North, but even if that's true i think it means nothing since they won't go anywhere for years anyway now. If they're fine with being in the loterry and wasting assets good for them i guess.

The guy won 3 chips, finals mvp honors and got moved in a salary based trade because a better player decided to leave and the only way they could get something rather than nothing was to salary dump another player. If your only squab with me is the use of the word “unceremoniously” then let’s set GSW capology aside.

He’s old. He’s hurt. He’s got more miles than most of the league. His production is slipping. Dispute any of that.

I'm a fan of Iggy, but there's no doubt he's old, injury prone and nearing the end of his career. Dude can still be a big factor defensively in the playoffs (in limited minutes), but offensively he's more likely to be nonexistent as he is good.

With that said, the warriors would've gladly kept him for his final season had Russell or some other talent had not been available for trade. I'm merely disputing your notion that they dumped him to be rid of him, as if he had no value or was considered a negative to them.
