    How do we know House and Rivers will be as good ? House has proven it for half a season . Rivers is a veteran but his shot has always been streaky ... in not saying he will be MCW bad ... but is he gonna play as well as he did when we first picked him up .

    If your excuse for the slow start is a total 5 games missed by harden and Paul then idk what to tell you . My recollection is that Paul started off playing VERY poorly , Clint had a slow start as well .

    We all though Ennis was gonna be a good fit
    MCW looked amazing in the preseason lol . Some people also bought Melo would work out .

    Lemme give you a recap of the attitude going into the season .

    -"so what we lost Luc and Trevor , Luc is hurt and Trevor is overpaid . We got Ennis who is younger for a bargain deal . Melo and MCW may not be the best fits on paper , but they add other dimensions to our roster."

    we might have slightly more depth , but Paul and PJ are another year older . Gordon and Clint are question marks ? Wasn't the excuse for Gordon's slow start last year that he was upset about being discussed for Butler ... I wonder how he is gonna take this latest round of publicly dangling him .

    All the weaknesses last year's roster had , we still have .

    Rivers and house aren't gonna help limit anyone's minutes . We will just play small .

    We lost Nene and Faried. And are replacing them with . . .? Paul is older. Chemistry problems. Bzeldik gone. Warriors didn't need Durant to destroy us. Capela exposed. House got overpaid based on a very limited window of decent play. Only positive is that Austin Rivers is a great signing and can give us more than he did last year. But we moved backwards. Way backwards.

    As of today Betonline has us tied with GS for second best title odds in the West behind the Lakers.

    The Denver, Utah, Portland and LAC group are a decent ways below us.

    I think that will have see how the defense plays under a new coach scheme . That one decent player away . Maybe top 3 if this works

    Anyone else but me have us fighting with Portland for the 4 seed, with the Lakers, Nuggets, and Jazz all ahead of us by seasons end?

    Wrong again... Some knew MCW wasn't good or a good fit and that he was a bum like me... And it wasn't a surprise....

    Some knew Melo was washed and a gamble like me.... It wasn't a surprise...

    They're role players... Yeah Rivers is streaky and was last year... That's expected, but his play style actually fits and he's a quality defender.

    House has the potential to get better and we know his strengths make him a good fit here.

    Also Gordon's slow start was a huge outlier in his career last year and we saw him catch fire and regress to the mean.... Fans can make whatever excuse they want about why he didn't shoot well, but it's speculation and the truth is he was in a slump and just didn't make shots. 7

    No that's not an excuse or the excuse for the slow start.... That's the facts.... Not just Harden and CP missing 5 games without the other to start the year, but also in addition a lack of suitable depth and relying on new additions that were actually HUGE minuses on the court...

    Lmao still bringing up the warriors. Literally every other team got better and we just got older and slower.

    Running it back with this same group who couldn’t beat the Durant less Warriors is a recipe for disaster. Lakers, Warriors, Pelicans will be better than this aging group. Sitting pat has never been a good option for the Rockets.

    We are favorites for standing pat? Based on what? We werent even the clear 2nd best team last year. Dont know why so many on here think that

    If kawhi doesnt go to la... that means hes staying in toronto. They were not worse than us and are younger than us.

    Faried and Nene are not key to our success... Faried didn't play in the offs and we were still in position to beat the Warriors... They're significantly worse...

    KD missed one game and they didn't destroy us... They barely beat us... Every game was close... CP is older and also won't have to chase Curry and Klay around... Nor will we have to contend with KD for a series.... Capela doesn't match up well with those Warriors... He matches up well against every other team... Stop the nonsense.

    I think we are both right . You are right that house and rivers should be better than MCW and Melo .

    But your "I was smart and knew all along they wouldn't work" line isn't the best argument .

    Do you really think you are smarter / better informed than Morey ?

    I think if our roster is better at the start of the season most of it will come from Clark or hartenstein being better . Or Paul or Clint not getting sonned at the beginning of the year

    We owned Toronto and we're better.... They won more games cuz they play in the shitty Leastern Conference.

    They also lose to the Warriors likely if KD plays as much as he did against us or if Klay doesn't basically miss two games.

    We are in a much better position for this season than the last.
