Highly probable because hes going to cost OKC over $100 million in luxury tax.

2 Yard line. Heh, but for real the probability he gets bought out in VERYYYYYY high. If he doesn't then OKC has something like a 300 million plus bill this season.

Raymond Felton re-signing to push OKC past $300M in payroll, tax

The only way to really drastically lower that price tag is by buying out Melo. They'd reduce that bill by 90+ million.

I don't think Melo was in attendance for the PG13 re-signing party. Writing is on the wall.

I can see him signing a vet min deal with the Lakers or Rockets for next season.

LOL funny thing about the Melo highlight plays is that in that Christmas game alot of his points are on Ryno XDDD.

Not trying to bash him cause I like ryno but his defense is just not good enough if hes not shooting out there.

Melo would be fine as a backup, playing 14 minutes a game, not as a starter playing 30 minutes a game

Wow. The ego is so big...I'm surprised anyone else can fit into the room. That's not the attitude we need in Houston. We need selfless players, not selfish players.

Here are Melos comments after the season:

On coming off the bench in the future:
About being an off ball guy, or Olympic Melo

What about someone who starts, but only gets 15 - 20 minutes per game?

Gross. This is one of those things where you blindly hope to be wrong about something, but you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. I mean how can you read that and think he would be good here? Hope I’m wrong.........

That video says a lot. I think LA is more likely to cater to that than we are, especially if they don't get Kawhi until next year.

Melo wants a starting role, 30 mpg, and a lot of touches...people on here just think that CP3 will get him to change his ways that have been built up over a 16 year career

they want CP3 to babysit a 34 yo

Correct me if I'm wrong, that video is early on in the season. Playing devils advocate he might have been a bit humbled by now. Maybe not? But I assume he respects Harden and likes CP3 enough to listen to them if they are united. I also believe CP3 is quite outspoken about the team being open and honest about communication. If Melo screws up, CP3 will give him an earful.

This seems like the exact opposite of what Westbrook does. WB isn't about the team, hes about his stats and him leaving it all on the floor. I think the two situations are different enough we could see a different Melo. But hey, I've been wrong before.

Melo not only starting, but starting at the 3 which is clearly not his best position? Clutchfans doesn’t want to win a championship next season, and I don’t understand why?

He did the exact same thing at his exit interview and reiterated it. So he didn't just say it once at but twice after the season was over. No humility whatsoever

Maybe getting bought out might humble him? I mean, a team is literally paying you to play for someone else. Or maybe he'll be thickheaded. I have faith that if the rockets bring him on, CP3 and Harden will let him know what's what.

Not into a 34 year old declining player that essentially needs a babysitter honestly. Harden and cp3 have more than enough in their plate to be worrying about things like this
