Of course, you meant a month of data or so, and I never mentioned cutting players. MLB is not my expertise. I'm more of an idea guy to generate $, save $, winning, etc.

You have 32,000 posts. You do not appear to have a life.

Please provide good evidence that backs up your opinion that both Yuli and Reddick are overpaid. I can semi-understand the argument for Beltran, but it's tough to make the argument for Yuli and nearly impossible to make it for Reddick.

Don't worry, you have made that extraordinarily clear.

Without any knowledge of the topic you're discussing, of course.

What's MarGo salary? How many HRs and RBIs? How about Yuli, Reddick, Beltran? Light bulb on, yet?

Just b/c I'm not a MLB freak who never played the game doesn't mean I can't identify obvious concerns and offer solutions.

So to bolster your argument, you are using a guy who, up to this season, had career highs of 13 HR and 51 RBI as your example.

That is the guy the Astros should have paid other than a fantastic RF, a guy that most would consider the greatest Cuban League player of all-time and arguably the best switch-hitter of all time.

    You are brilliant.

I agree he's a fantastic outfielder, but Reddick's career stats (.257/102/366) are mediocre. He doubled his salary from 2016. http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/stats/_/id/30195/josh-reddick

Unfortunately, the greatest Cuban player of all time NUMBERS (.259/7/30) in MLB don't justify a salary more than minimum--that's if you compare apples with apples. http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/_/id/36006/yuli-gurriel

Just because Margo is underpaid and putting up crazy numbers does not mean that Yuli and Reddick are overpaid. Especially Reddick. By that logic, Mike Trout is overpaid because Conforto and Judge are putting up numbers in the same ballpark as Trout.

Yeah...stupid Angels GM. He could have signed EIGHT Aaron Judge players instead of one Mike Trout. The Angels could have an entire lineup of guys producing like Aaron Judge if the Angels GM wasn't so stupid as to sign Trout for $24,000,000.

    Agree with this.

Also, 100% fully agree with this independent clause.

I have come full circle. He's off ignore, and this thread is pure hilarity.

As long as he confines himself to this thread, all is good.

I confused you. Reddick is not deserving of a salary higher than our highest paid outfielder (Margo, Springer, aoki, marisnick). Trout is #1 in WAR. Where's reddick?
