I was ready to quit watching when we first signed Rivers but now its the only move we have made that made me crack a small smile for a second. I still don't think that Butler minus EG and Capela makes us better. I just hope they are not so butt hurt that it messes attitudes up.

What am I projecting? That he was a proven contributor to the rockets? Oh ok. That makes sense

How would it go. Why didn’t the rockets sign him! They need a backup pg! For minimum! Is that about right

He does move the needle because he signed for the vet min. You need to look at this through the lens of the salary cap -- we only have so much space to sign so many players. We need depth, and we got a player who can give us valuable minutes in the playoffs, and it doesn't cost us anything. Now that 5-8 million we would have spent on him can go towards another guy, and that other guy may move the needle. All because Rivers signed for a min contract.

As much as people around here diminish Daryl Morey, Pat Riley's moves since LeBron left should be questioned. He gave out so many **** contracts.

Didn't he express some distaste about Harden on the ESPN NBA Jump just couple weeks ago?

Very surprise that he is willing to come back, I guess he really don't like to play for his dad.

    Grab 1 wing/forward, and a backup 5, and let’s freaking roll.

Lol I watched that. He did not...some people read it like that. I read it the complete opposite. Thought he said what he was supposed too. Defended the team without going over board, since u know we did lose..

U cant just say yea its wonderful n we good after blowing a opportunity. He really was classy for just showing up knowing the commentary was gonna roast the team.

When u lose like that u take humble pie...

Some people interpreted it that way, falsely in my opinion. A lot of what he said was in defense of Harden, and the team.

He also said that he could have gotten more money elsewhere, but being on this team in Houston is the happiest he's been in his entire career.

How did you come to the conclusion that that same team was the best in the NBA last season? o_O

Actually, he didn't . He expressed some distaste for the style of play and management not listening to players asking for a change but the whole time he stated that James is simply doing what management is asking of him.
