    He sucked all of last year.

    This year he's supposed to play better being with a better team and playing in a somewhat reduced role.

    1st game of the season I saw nothing different from Melo. Still inefficient (3/10), still playing no defense, and still not offering anything else to the table.

    How many games then does Carmelo Anthony have in order to prove that he doesn't suck? I don't see how there can be any excuses for him this year. Last year it was easy to blame Westbrick. This year it's time for him to show that he's still a positive basketball player.

    If he’s horrible after 25 then it’s over. I don’t think him getting more worn down as the season goes will help him.

    Don't blame the bench. He is not the problem we lost the game. I blame the starters more than benches.

    Defense: Ennis/Melo are not 25% of Ariza/Moute.

    I don't think we'll let him go no matter what. So I think he'll be here for 82.

    Hot take: regardless of how well he plays this year, I don't see him back next year.

    Doesn't seem that he sucks but he is a glorified Ennis for rich people now when his shot isn't there.

    Give him more time.

    Melo sucks.... at defense. We can’t fix that but if he Ain’t scoring he needs to be sitting.
    We need Melo not to sit , so he better find his shot before the WCF!

    If he isn't showing signs at all after 10 you sit him and let someone else have a shot .

    Randle is younger and biggerr, it is a tough match-up for Melo.

    I wonder who is our defensive designer for this match-up.

    Melo should at least be given time to adjust to both his new team and new role before we pass judgement.

    I'm not a big Melo fan by any means but I think it's a bit ridiculous to say he can't help us after 1 game that just about everybody in a Rockets jersey sucked in.

    He is supposed to replace ryan anderson. He cost us 2.4 million. I am more concerned about Ennis and Mcw who are supposed to replace Ariza and Luc. Those are the guys that concern me... it looks like train wreck out there right now...

    Melo was meh yesterday but let's not act like he was the problem cause he wasn't, all the team pretty much sucked.

    We'll see how it goes once the team actually start playing seriously, cause yesterday they were clearly still in the Bahamas.

    people kept acting like Melo still got it...predicting him scoring 20 ppg like he’s still some lethal weapon

    Melo is washed...he will have a nice offensive game here and there...he might blow up in a quarter on occasion, but he has no lift, he has no burst, and trying to take the most efficient shots possible is not in his DNA

    oh, and that defense is gonna be trash all year long...GS will exploit that, please believe me...if u suck at making rotations or doing the correct reads then you are BBQ chicken out there against them

    he’s claimed that coming off the bench was mentally challenging for him last night, and not finishing games will be as well...I’m sure he’ll also have a problem with not consistently getting 15+ shots a night
