I can certainly see Gentile; I do not not not want to lose TA without a great improvement. The guy is truly valuable (except when he tries to initiate O...ouch...).
If we have a point guard that leads the league in assists and draws double teams, what is there not to like? I would love this pick up, thanks for the scoop Cyberx.
Sheee*****y****t, you could probably trade for Monroe right now, if that's on your wish list (Codman mentioned him, albeit in a riddle). I just don't know if he's the way to go: he can score, he can pass, but would we be able to keep Capela in the process? Gallinari, possible. Gay, I'd say he could be a "get" now if but for that expiring contract. Well, the exception to the rule on "you can never have too many great white hopes" is, You don't sign a Great White Hope if he will impede your acquisition of a Greater, Whiter Hope.
That's a name I kept coming back to after reviewing 2017 free agents. The strength of next year's class is point guards. Curry, CP3, Lowry, Hill, Holiday, Rose, etc. The problem is we already have our point guard, and they definitely aren't moving Harden off the ball at this point. What we need is a wing that can score and provide some secondary playmaking....Hayward is the best that will be available.
I think the Jazz will do everything they can to keep him, but Hayward already failed to reach an agreement with them when he was a restricted free agent, and he signed a max offer sheet with the Hornets/Bobcats with player option, trade kicker ...nothing shocking obviously, it's a business and those were negotiations, but overall i'm not sure he's more bound with the Jazz than Parsons was with us.
Rockets the first NBA team to have 200 + mill invested in white ballers. BRING BACK KEITH VAN HORN!!! : ) Les changes the Rockets jerseys to blend in with Pac Sun / Abercrombie. Goodbye Yao / Lin era.
Hayward would be a great second banana. And remember, he tried to leave Utah before but they match a restricted FA offer for him.
Well we have to do something...otherwise James will start thinking of leaving...so i'm all for talent upgrades, any way we can get them.
Awesome, but I'll have to see it to believe it. I have a hard time seeing teams taking Brewer and a few other players without us giving up anything else.
I'm sure Hayward would want to make the playoffs. If Jazz don't accomplish a playoff run this year, I'm sure there's a good chance it's bye bye Hayward. I will say that young Jazz team has plenty of great pieces if they ever blew it up.
How much will he be making vs Chandler Parsons? 3's that can do what they do are pretty valuable nowadays. I hate to throw another white guy in the equation here but honestly best case scenario is Dekker takes a step forward to eleviate the need. He's also got better versatility than the other 2 at playing the 4 as well. I'm sure he's a target as everyone is right now at the 1, 3, 4, and 5 spot but getting a playmaker at the 3 spot is going to be crucial moving forward as we see time and time again that Ariza kills possessions when he has to put the ball on the floor and it kills the offense.
Thanx cyber. Why not? I'm sure we are also eyeing Griffin as well as the Cousins situation. But realistically? I don't believe he will even leave for Boston much less for Houston. Why would he leave a young and up and coming team that is about to make the playoffs potentially as a better seed than us, and has handed the keys to him, to come here to play more off the ball? For less $ on top of it.
Maybe it depends on the lifestyle he prefers. Granted, he's from Indiana, so maybe Utah is okay with him. That's probably where his (smoking hot) wife is from. So prying him away from Utah? We'll see if and when he signs that extension. And Brad Stevens was his college coach. So.....Boston will be in the picture, to be sure.
