No great match ups but someone could be upset today. Clemson in a dog fight with Troy Oklahoma State close with Central Michigan. Georgia only up 2 on Nicholls State
Granted, Oklahoma State has never been known as a defensive juggernaut, but they looked completely inept on the most CMU drive that put them on top 24-20. Cooper Rush is a pretty good QB, but he was throwing to guys who were running wide open with no OSU defenders within three yards.
And as I submit that previous message, CMU picks off OSU in the end zone on a horrific throw from Mason Rudolph. Looks like they might actually pull it off.
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! Adding to the intrigue is that Mike Pereira is telling the PBP guys on FS1 that they shouldn't have gotten the untimed down because a team can't be awarded an untimed down if the offensive penalty results in a loss of down. It will be interesting to see what OSU's recourse is.
Troy created a fumble earlier in the game when Clem was in the redzone and ran it back. Refs said they blew the whistle before the TO. Replay shows they didn't. Clem gets the ball anyway and scores. Troy got screwed there.
Last year's bad Texas team should have beaten OkSt if it weren't for a million bad calls. Still salty about it, and of course nothing was corrected.
Yeah that too. Ok State coming up after a bye in week 5 from Stillwater. Hope we are able to get some revenge.
I freakin'missed the Central Michigan play!!!!! I watched the whole second half. I switched after the 4th down pass cuz the game was supposed to be over. After I switched, they apparently called a penalty and gave them the chance for that amazing play. I feel cheated!!!!!!
I was looking through today's schedule this morning. They must want the NFL to have all the attention this week LOL.
Makes no sense to front-load the schedule all on Week 1 and completely ignore Week 2. I mean...they had, what, 9 "good" games last week? People can't even watch all of them because half take place at the same times, so why not spread it out?
