A 20 year old averaging 27 ppg on 64% ts? Really? Look if a 20 year old can do that then they are destined to become a superstar if they don't have outside issues like Zion with his weight and health. Dude qualified for the super max in his rookie contract lol. Come on. That's silly.
No, that’s what the advanced metrics say. Belief has nothing to do with it. It’s hard for the illiterate like you to understand this.
Advanced metrics can mislead idiots like you into believing anything lol. Sengun's nowhere near Zion fam, just stop & go to sleep
He has one of the most team friendly contracts in NBA history, maybe look into that before calling anyone a fool. He has to requalify for it to be guaranteed each year, last year he played 70 games (the same as Luka and other stars). When was the last time a 22 year old #1 overall pick signed what is essentially an unguaranteed max contract? This has never happened, the fact that he is worth that much when healthy and didn't get a fully guaranteed deal is what most of you do not understand. His contract is essentially going to be what role players are getting paid soon. Hartenstein gets a guaranteed 3/$87M someone like Zion making $39M a year unguaranteed each year is a steal. Pelicans can waive him before the season starts each year if they wanted to. If you don't think his contract has positive value, then you know nothing about the NBA . https://www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/...ion-williamsons-contract-no-longer-guaranteed
That’s a crazy contract. The link goes into details, thanks for that. Personally, if the Pels decided to move him I wouldn’t risk it, but some team would.
Personally I never had a problem structuring that contract with incentives..... Dude cannot get on the court, let us structure it that way that he has motivation to get healthier.
so wen handsome zion wearing a rox? him and commander sheppard leading the 2nd unit while spamming rolling picks is so championship.
Deleted my previous comments. I didn’t realize Zion’s contract was a team option every year. That makes him much more valuable in a trade. I still wouldn’t trade Amen, Sengun, or Jabari for him straight up because of his inability to stay on the court and lack of good rebounding and mediocre defense (just like Sengun.
This contract shows his true value, and let me assure you, it's clearly not that high from the way it's structured. Sengun is getting a guaranteed max, unlike frequently injured fat boy Zion.
Yes, Mr. judgement of others. I would start the third pick in the NBA draft day one as almost all other “idiots” I mean teams have historically done!!! If you want to swap out for Amen’s defense then that works too. 3rd PICK IN THE DRAFT (and favorite to win Rookie of the Year by NBA executives) YOU JERK….not two pre-season games.
Spacing wont be an issue with Zion/Sengun. Zion can shoot from 18-22 ft out effectively. The issues could be on defense. However when a guy can put up 40 points in a playoff game and avg a double double (Which he could) that speaks to his talent level. Most importantly he's a guy that can get you a bucket at the end of games/break runs. All of this is predicated on Zion getting/staying healthy and that's the risk. If there was no risk Zion wouldn't be available. If Zion's truly available then this comes down to how much of a risk Stone is willing to take.
Why is this thread still here? Zion isn’t even available, and never was 21 pages about something that was made up
The 3rd pick in the draft just given a starting position with only 2 preseason games & no training camp? What about defensively? Or I forgot you SOF's don't factor defense into anything. The privilege you just give certain players is disgusting. Reed Sheppard hasn't earned anything. Sengun needs to prove he can shoot 3's & play reliable defense before giving him any best player title. The being a 3rd pick don't mean you don't have to earn anything
