Rumor has it that Zhu purposefully did not give the ball to Yao (very evident in the game against LTV). He either shoots 3s, pass the ball back to other perimeter players, or chooses to penetrate (which results in TOs or blocked shots), but never passes the ball to Yao.

He was the main reason that LTV went on a 13-0 run after China got the lead 17-12 early in the first quarter. In the next 6-7 sequences, Zhu launched several ill advised 3s and Yao did not get the ball even once. That was the game right there.

Can anyone who has insider information on the CNT confirm this? If this is the case, Del Harris should make sure that he trades off the SOB or just don't play him. He is a cancer.

Maybe Del can trade him to Argentina prior to the game tomorrow.

Not his shooting. His defense on the no. 6 is really crappy. Yao was tightly double teamed since the ending of the 1st half. Yao cannot hold a clean post position for .5 second. Someone had to jackup some long distant shoots.

Be defense, man, Zhu was just too slow to defend the no. 6 all night long.

    This is crap.

Mobley's a good basketball player. Zhu Fangyu is not. Mobley accepted different (and often smaller) roles with the Rockets every season. Zhu Fangyu played like he was the man. The Rockets traded Mobley to get McGrady. Unfortunately, the CNT cannot trade Zhu Fangyu to get Ginobili.

I can't believe this fallacy that Cat froze out Yao regularly is still being repeated.

It wasnt true when Cat was a Rocket....and it isnt true today.

Cat did everything that was asked of him last season, and more....and yet some of yall still love to repeat this utter fallacy.

Cat didn't freeze Yao out but I don't feel he looked for Yao enough. He did this less as the year went on, but passing has never exactly been one of Cat's strengths. The guy is a scorer.
