You know that they were total crap back in those days as well right?

Have they ever been any better than beating the teams around them (Philippines, Thailand etc)?

As the saying goes, he's 2 years away from being 2 years away.

I agree, but to be fair, DJ and Boogie were not great matchups for a 7 foot toothpick lol. He needs to put on at least 30 lbs. I think he'd have a better shot of that if he worked with the Rockets staff sooner rather than later, and was exposed to some good ol' Murrican food.

I like what I see...good feel for game...gotta remember he's playing NBA elite and his team not very good. I can see him putting in time next year for us.

I personally think he would be better groomed here in U.S. vs china

I do hope he is 19 yrs old not 24...that would worry me a bit...but I think he would do better given space

Zhou Qi is overrated. And the CBA is a trash basketball league.

I honestly think it has more to do with coaching and player development. Considering these guys start playing at the same age and practice for as many hours as Japanese and Latin American baseball prospects, I really do think they should be producing much, much better talent. It's not as though guys like Yi lacked the natural athleticism to excel in the NBA.

Don't see why it's hard to believe. Regardless, people are being way too harsh. He's literally playing in one of the most lopsided games that are possible. What the hell do you expect him to do up against the best players in the world?

He should be alright. Normal NBA teams do not have an Allstar at every position.

Alan Williams is a scrub that the Rockets won't consider to sign even he was a standout in the summer league last year.

Alan Williams is an undersized center but he at least knows his position on the floor and hence he did perform well in a lower level of competition.

On the other hand, Zhou is playing just about the same level of Lebron, Jr.
