Actually it was a fact, and an accurate one. I can point to people who's jobs were saved by the stimulus.

I just looked up the definition of "fact" and did not find the term "accurate." A fail is you.

    1. something known to be true: something that can be shown to be true, to exist, or to have happened
    2. truth or reality of something: the truth or actual existence of something, as opposed to the supposition of something or a belief about something
    3. piece of information: a piece of information, e.g. a statistic or a statement of the truth

I'm rarely serious, but there are thousands of teachers who's jobs were saved because of the stimulus. There are dozens at my very school.

    "whose" jobs, not "who's."

The first sentence wasn't even a complete sentence and the second sentence doesn't start with a capital letter. You've failed twice in just one post.

    you mad.

care to debate about delveraging, and asymmetric responses to financial crises caused by sheer private sector greed and incompetence?

And what needs to be done to prevent this from happening again?

    A. It has been proven. Hey - you might not think evolution is a fact because it hasn't been proven but guess what, it is.

    B. Do you understand that private sector jobs isn't the only factor that goes into unemployment? The Unemployment is higher because public sector jobs have been slashed.

I think you should learn economics before putting forth weird ideas. Do you even know what the growth in the labor force was between 2008 and today?

Orly? How does that proof go? Proof by CBO? Something is proven because the often wrong CBO says it is? You should publish this awesome proof in a scientific journal.

    Wikipedia: fact

In other words, if you can't prove it then it is not a fact. That's why it's called the theory of evolution and not the law of evolution. Evolution hasn't been proven (although it is most definitely correct) and therefore is not fact.

That is an absolutely ridiculous statement, and I know you mean well, but you need to look up the definition of a scientific theory compared to a lay theory, they are not the same thing and evolution is accepted as fact.

    I know the difference.

The stimulus added a net of 3.5 million jobs based on what? a CBO measurement? and you are dumb enough to pretend like this makes it fact? Are you even vaguely familiar with the CBO? Why am I wasting my time even having this conversation?

I'm talking about evolution:rolleyes: you know, since that's the thing I quoted. And you obviously do not know the difference, because the definition of theory that you used is wrong  so before you call someone dumb you should make damn sure you know what your talking about. Just my theory. Idiot. Eyerollsmiley
