I am surprised no one has mentioned this thus far - Zeke is desperate; he is on his last leg and he wants to go down swinging. For all intents purposes, he will be fired after the season if the knicks do not make the post season (and probabaly that is even already foregone conslusion). So what has he got to lose? His prospect as a GM is shot - he is not even considered a good coaching prospect either anymore. So this is his last ditch effort to save his GM career (save for maybe buying a team with the help of some other investors). All hope is not lost for the final spot of the playoffs in the east so he is desperate and wants to do whatever in his power to make a push and appease the faithful. In desperate times we all often do things that are seemingly stupid - herein lies Zeke's rationale to this rumoured deal.
Then Zeke is been deperate and stupid for pretty long time. He should stop hitting himself with the stupid stick because whatever he's doing is not rebuilding... thats called DESTRUCTION... I wonder what other GMs think of Zeke...
people will tune into the Knicks now. they didnt really have anyone exciting except for Marbury. At least Steve can do some highlight dunks!
