That's BS, Larry Brown would not ever let that happen, unless there's a deal in place to move Marbury.
A terrible idea. Marbury and Francis would probably end up guarding each other, they are the same player. A team that is in a financial hole wants to go in a deeper hole?
My thoughts exactly. When are they going to fire Thomas? He was a great player, a decent coach, but an absolute horrible GM. Homer Simpson would do a better job with the Knicks.
Despite Francis' flaws in his game, After watching Marbury for many years I believe Francis is more of a team player. But pairing the two seems reckless. The Knicks should trade Marbury for Francis. Francis seems like he could learn a lot from Larry Brown, and he seems more willing to learn than Marbury. Francis didn't like JVG's system here in Houston, but JVG has said that Francis did do what JVG asked him to do, and worked hard to change his game to what JVG wanted him to change it to. I would like to see what could happen with Francis and Brown paired up.
Both players need to the ball in their hands to be effective. Neither are very good catch and shoot players. Pairing Marbury and Francis in the backcourt would be a disaster.

I do not think that Marbury and Francis could co-exist on the same team, both in the locker room and on the court. Trading Marbury for Francis makes a little more sense, though it still may not be a good deal fro the Knicks. Marbury is a true point guard while Francis is decidedly not. I am not sure Brown wants a would-be point guard starting for him. I am also not sure Zeke would give up a true point guard for Francis.
I thought Marbury and Francis hated each other.. Didnt Marbury call Francis a fake allstar and that he was the real allstar? anyways two undersized SG's that play PG (albeit talented) doesnt make any sense. I think Zeke is planning on moving Marbury later. J
I really hope this happens. Mainly because it means the Nugs won't get Francis, but also because of the train wreck potential.

looks like it won't happen b/c Cato will go to Detroit in the Darko deal...which means Cato's salary won't be available to the Knicks in the deal. Which is important in the currently proposed deal at least for Francis..
