Zach has had a great summer. First he decided to have his friends race two of his cars through downtown Portland in the middle of the night. he was a passenger in one of them, and when the cops stopped him, he got out of the car, locked his 2 guns in the car, and said he didn't know where the keys were. He is also implicated in a sexual assault (although no charges have been filed yet). I don't think Darius Miles or Ruben Patterson were involved in either of these events.

Like I said, I'm more scared of his bloated contract and his lack of rebounding. What he does with his cars is none of my business :D :D :D

I hope you know that I AM joking. :)

I wouldn't take randolph or miles.

I would take randolph before miles though.

If JVG could make him accept a role as a rebounder and lane clogger on defense to help Yao get some weakside blocks.

Miles is a punk and would want the ball.

Both guys would probably either get shot in Houston or end up in jail for something immature.

If Randolph would accept the role of our enforcer I would do it.

However I think neither guy fits the role as a TEAM player and JVG wouldn't do it if they threw hair into the trade.

    I did...

and 2sandwiches contrary to popular belief Randolph is not as good as people give him credit for and Miles does not scream for the ball unlike Randolph i know i'm not the only one who remembers him complaining last year about not getting enough touches. But i would take miles over randolph any day of the week as Zach is 2sandwiches away from being Eddy Curry II.

OK you helped me change my mind TC, I wouldn't take either one under any circumstances. I would still rather have JHo, and thats sad! Neither one of those guys fit a TEAM player IMO.....so lets keep brainstorming......

i thought those two went hand in hand.

i thought those two went hand in hand.

darn... i feel like that got darn commercial...

"head on! apply directly to the forehead. head on! apply directly to the forehead.... etc...."

yah... if randolph had a chance at coming here... it's a no brainer. get that mofo. i'd adopt a miami walker, williams, payton (former "franchise player" strategy) thingee in a heartbeat since the heat can win championship with that mold.

If Les ever did decide to pay for a third max player, is this really your choice?

Even if Randolph lands in Houston, it wouldn't benefit the team at all. First of all he is gonna take away Yao's touch at the low post area. Also he is not that much better than J-Ho.

What? Darius was the friend driving the car and Ruben was the victim of the sexual assault. Zach wanted him to know what the nanny was feeling when Ruben tried to pull a kobe on her. :D

Seriously what does Randolph do better than Juwan?? And if he does do anything slightly better is it worth a humongous contract with a bad attitude?? I dont think so...

    SAY NO TO RANDOLPH!

ANY team (including the Nuggets who have K-Mart) that trades for Zach Randolph is insane. There is no other combination of player & contract in the NBA that is more radioactive than him. I like Nate McMillan a lot and the Blazers gave him a big contract. But I wonder if both he and the team have serious regrets now. That franchise has no chance at all to succeed so long as Randolph and Miles are there. Guys like them are death to a franchise.

you know its bad when portland wants to get rid of you because of your reputation. dont you have to be in jail at least twice a year in order for them to sign you? or have they tried to clean up their image again by getting rid of only the 'really really bad guys who are always getting busted' ?
we cant take randolph. he does not fit our system of putting guys together that surround and compliment yao and tmac. and hes too much money.
having said that, i am sure that there are worse deals and contracts that we could take than randolphs. just leave it up to one of us rookies to come up w/ one.

Randolph is not a bad player, however, his skill set does not complement Yao's (as mentioned by others, he plays rather like Juwan Howad), he's had a pretty spotty health history in the last year or so, and most important, he make the MAX.

There is just no way Les Alexander adds a third max player on this team when that player is not a surefire superstar. Adding Randolph to this team is no more realistic than cloning Battier and have the original Battier guard the perimeter and the clone Battier play the 4.
