Cam is evolving into a exclusive pocket passer with no weapons

A sack waiting to happen because he can't buy time in the pocket. When your QB can't out run 300 pound defensive linemen something is wrong...

He has a Manziel-like douche factor and makes terrible decisions as evidenced by the tattoo on his chest.

Very puzzled why he declined the option to play in the senior bowl

I really don't have an opinion of Zach... Other than I don't see a team drafting him that high with a blown out knee.

Of these guys, the dual-threat QBs have missed a total of 1 or 2 games in their time in the league. 3 of the 4 have not been injured at all. Of your 4 elite statue QBs (Rodgers isn't even a statue), 2 have missed full seasons with injuries, one has missed half a season. There is zero actual evidence that running QBs have more health problems than statues. Just look at all the injured QBs this year as evidence of that.

Also interesting that Luck is not in your "dual threat" list. I'm sure race had nothing to do with that.

Me too. I have a hard time writing he guy off like many seem to. I wouldn't be surprised if he is one of the better QBs of the class when everything shakes out a couple years down the road.

    I agree.

Rodgers & Luck are very good, underrated as athletes.

As a diehard LSU football fan, I've seen every snap Mettenberger has taken as a Tiger. I think I have a good grasp on his game but you should take my analysis with that grain of salt.

    STRENGTHS

He throws darts. He stands tall in the pocket and moves well in the pocket. He's smart. He proved he can pick up a pro style offense in one offseason with Cam Cameron. He played against the best defenses in the country and led the SEC in passing efficiency.

    WEAKNESSES

Runs like Brady. Trusted his arm a bit too much, trying to fit the ball in double coverage at time. Threw up too many deep jumpballs to his 6' receivers.

    CONCLUSION

My preference is Bridgewater, but if we trade down or go for Clowney, then I really hope we're able to get Mettenberger later in the draft, hopefully in the 3rd.

Nice analysis. For me, the chance to have Watt and Clowney will create an elite defensive core for a long time. That's the foundation. Let's then rely on BO'B's superior QB development to mold a Mettenberger type QB. Seattle and SF are models for this. Great defenses with QBs who don't throw very much and don't cost you games.

So you don't like Bridgewater and you don't like Cam

Bridgewater the refined qb with the smarts and intangibles to boot

Cam the unrefined physical specimen with great physical tools

I smell an agenda here. If I were you bigtexxx I would stop posting before you get embarrassed

it's not the same plan as Kubiak.

I like Bridgewater, just not sold on him at 1-1

I simply said Cam delivered a terrible performance when it counted. He's a young developing QB. Jury is still out.

I smell your agenda, though, and it stinks like poop

    Does that sound logically sound???

Steve Smith was hurt and was gone by the second half.

Greg O is good but not great and can't run through a turnstile if he tried
