But his efficiency did not dip in his 2nd year on higher volume. And it still didn't dip in his 3rd year on even higher volume.

No. What happened after the All Star break was different. For a month, he played like a superstar. Then, he started receiving the attention superstars receive in April, and he's just not at that level at the moment. That's far different than when he was inefficient just because he was missing shots against regular pressure.

So that means you are saying that all of the talk about Jalen being double and triple teamed ever since his rookie season were lies... that it's a new thing that only happened after his 8 game hot streak that lead to results similar to what we've seen from him his whole career....

Lol, damn your blind devotion is hilarious.

I never once claimed he received a lot of pressure his rookie season. Certainly not at the level he saw post All Star break last season.

I'm just curious how opposing team commentators are higher on Jalen than many posters here. They routinely were talking about how their team defense needs to get the ball out of Green's hands and let his teammates do something with the ball so their team can win. Multiple games you'd hear this stuff from opposing team commentators. He makes like the threes in a row and the opposing commentators are like "oh oh... Don't let him have the ball now please".

    Sigh

There is only one poster who consistently and frequently gets into it with other posters, of them, numerous throughout the years. There is a common denominator here and his name rhymes with "hobby".

    Take that how you will.

If his salary is going to end up being in $40M to $50M bracket, and he's going to be locked up for basically all of his prime, I might be more inclined now to trade a significant haul for him, once he eventually becomes eligible. That's a salary level where you can maybe still have two other max players in a couple years, depending on what happens with the cap. Let's remember that a guy like Jaylen Brown is getting paid an AAV of around $60M during that same time frame. Going by recent increases, I'd expect a salary cap around $150M in a couple of years, and the first apron to hit around $190M. So, for example, Sengun and Lauri combined probably only eat about half of what (hopefully) Tilman will be willing to spend.

I'd still be worried about the defense and Lauri's injury history, so whether I'd make a trade like that would depend on whether he showed improvement in those areas this season (mostly staying healthy and getting better on the defensive end).

I just don’t think he’s worth that much. If you’re making that kind of money, you need to play some defense.

To be clear, I don't think he's that bad defensively. He's not a total liability, and being a fairly mobile seven footer always has some value.

Just not sure he's good enough to play next to Sengun, who probably does need an above average defensive frontcourt partner.

Have you seen how many posts he has? This is literally his entire existence. Which really makes it all the more tragic when pretty much nobody likes the guy.

Hearing that Ainge turned down an offer from the Rockets of Green, Sengun, Sheppard and 3 future firsts. Ainge said it wasn’t close to what he was wanting.

Hearing from who? No offense, but your track record doesn't really speak to you having any insider info at all.
