Zach Lowe: Rockets have the third worst court design in the NBA

First of all, I enjoyed the article. Zach Lowe's a good writer and it's unfortunate that you guys hate him just because he doesn't praise our very average court design. I think that this is our best court of the Buffy era, and looks clean, but I can also see why an outsider wouldn't like it because it's really plain and our primary logo sucks. I think that this is the best that our court design can get under our current logo and the only way to further improve the court would be to rebrand back to the championship era logo and jerseys. It's one of the most iconic logos in all of sports and I know everyone would be thrilled to go back to it, especially in a time where this is a popular trend going on in sports (Astros, Warriors, Jazz, 76ers, Hawks, etc). At the games I see an overwhelming amount of retro attire from other fans and I think that ultimately we end up going back to it. Don't know when it will happen, but I would be willing to bet out next logo change is going to be back to the classic logo.

 

I'm thinking the same thing. The more you splash more colors, the better the ranking.

Most of the court designs look the same to me, too. I don't know why the Bulls' court is at number 5 and Rockets' is at number 28. I don't see much difference other than the black outline and the logos.

IMO, the simpler, the better. I'm OK with the Rockets' current court design.

 

It is kind of boring but some of the ones he likes are way too garish. I think ours is more middle of the pack, probably around 20 or so. It's dull but inoffensive. Many of these courts are offensively ugly.

I actually agree with him about the Nets' new court though, it looks badass.

 

Article seems like a subliminal way to brag about Charlotte's new court.

Every single court pretty much follows the same color layout except for hardwood differences.

 

No problem with the lack pop and the plain look. Just hate the Logo the loge is so damn terrible.
