Not really something new. It has been clear for years that Kobe's D is not as good as it is portrayed. He does not deserve most of his all nba defensive teams.

Funny how the first clip reminded me of Harden. He gave Klay Thompson the same treatment in that one embarrassing loss.

Kobe's D hasn't been good in 10 years. I never understood the reputation. Lebron's D on the other hand is as good as it gets for a perimeter player. He can pretty much shut down anyone other than elite post players.

I remember when he absolutely dismantled Gasol by fronting him all game long and just out muscling him.

Yeah he can, but he rarely did

once in a blue moon he switches on the opponents best player and play super in your face defence for 5 minutes. and then everyone's on his dick about how great of a HOF defender he is.

Him getting all those all defensive 1st teams is damn shameful

God forbid Kobe let Dwight Howard lead the team in scoring while he plays a more balanced game.

Exactly like during the All-Star game when he went all out on Lebron for like 2 minutes towards the end. I swear all this guy cares about is his reputation.

What are you guys talking about? Kobe is an uber-elite defender. Who else in the league can successfully deny FOUR PLAYERS the ball at the same time???

No, about 10 seasons..... Kobe can turn on the defense on particular possessions but he has put very little effort on the defensive end and regularly is abused. He is in the bottom 20% of starting shooting guards on the defensive end.
