I bet you wouldn't be mistaken if you wore your outfit with a label like this: "Me Chinese Please No Jap"

On a more serious note, the historical background about the above picture is hardly ever talked about in the main stream media, by politicians of all sides, and/or depicted in Hollywood movies.

And you never hear any Chinese who doesn't know where Montana or South Dakota is trying to tell you what you should do with the places.

So it doesn't really matters what the truth is, it only matters what some ignorant, biased and misleading media tells you as long as you don't need to think.

Many years ago an American professor told me " wow you Chinese young men knows better about American history than Amrican young guys know about their own country's history"

I don't know if it is true. But I am shocked by their ignorance with the true world now.

Surely Dalai Lama can go back to his homeland. Do you know Panchen Lama? Each generation of Panchen Lama enjoys the same status as Dalai as the highest political and religious leader in Tibet which has been conferred by the Chinese central government generation after generation for hundreds of years. The tenth Panchen Lama who was the current Dalai's contemporary used to be the vice chairman of the standing committee of the Chinese Congress. He lived a very highly honored life in China until his death. Even the last Emperor of Qing Dynasty was not killed compared to the treatment in France and many other countries in the political transition. I see no reason that Dalai couldn't live a good life in Tibet as long as he gave up his intent to separate the country. Did any of the Chinese leader ever say Dalai would never be allowed to come back to this country? Show me your evidence.

Dalai Lama enjoyed a very high status and remained to be the leader of Tibet before he moved to India in 1959. The trigger lies in Chinese central government's intent to gradually cancel the slavery regime in Tibet at that time. It hurt the Tibetan noble's interests. But it had nothing to do with the religion alone. Dalai himself wrote 3 letters personally to the central government's representative on March 10-16 1959 saying that he was under duress by the rebel nobles and could not act on his own free will. At that time he was still a very young men. But then for some unknown reason he left Lhasa and at last went to India with those rebels on March 17th, and declared the independence of Tibet.

    because :

    1. in the most recent 800 years, Yuan, Ming, Qing, even the weak KMT before 1949 can keep Tibet as one of China's provinces, the communists just did the same. They claimed everything (by guns) that once was owned by Taiwan's Chiang.

    2. the size of Tibet is about 2 Texas or 3 California, or 13% of whole China.

    3. Tibet has the sources of almost all Chinese and southern asian's rivers.

why would not china want it?
