Those other social media crap didn't die down because people got bored with them. They died down because Facebook killed them. What's going to kill facebook?
Youtube, facebook is so annoying. Everything about it is irritating. As a society we should not know/nor give a crap about what someone is doing 100s of miles away. My theory is people should not know what someone is doing on a daily basis unless they are a very close friend/relative or someone that has a role in your daily/weekly life. Facebook is ruining the world.
Everything dies out over time. Things like privacy concerns will kill Facebook down the line. Something better and cooler will eventually replace it.
I stopped Facebooking a while ago and I got on a friend's page for a project and man was I lost. Anyways, Youtube takes the cake. I also heard that in Japan, Facebook isn't that common because their culture values privacy and doesn't feel the need to leaves themselves open to public consumption. Anyone can confirm this?
everytime i think i'm going to [Like] something seen on youtube... i immediately stop myself, because whenever i see my 'friends' [Like] something, i say, "who gives a shtt"
I don't even use facebook that much, and I use youtube a lot. I still would rather give up youtube. Youtube has alternatives out there, I mainly watch basketball videos on there as well as funny, humorous videos. I can watch highlights on NBA.com, and then I can find funny videos somewhere else on the internet, not as convenient but it can be done. Facebook is the king of social networks, there are no substitutes because no other network has all the people.
I do remember Myspace being at least SERVICABLE as a social network alternative. But Youtube has already made me completely forget any previous alternatives of a repository of on-demand video randomness. I was going to say Youtube at first. But then its like saying you would rather your friends and families houses burn down than Hollywood and the library.
No, it doesn't. Foreigners don't use Facebook as much as Americans do. Facebook is not that popular in places like Asia.
