That is nuts.

One thing I'd say though, I think our cops probably would've restrained them a lot quicker... solid tackling form, ftw.

Had to be some kind of drug induced rampage, and being twins they probably had that whole "if shes goes I go" thing going on..

 

looks like a stun gun would've come in handy.

Seriously. WTF were those sissy british cops doing? They would have been either tased or at a minimum handcuffed and in the back of a cruiser here in America.

 

Watch that impact again -- how did she get up from that and start kicking ass !? She flipped that chick cop to the ground like a mosquito.

They said they didn't want to use anything other than their hands because of the collisions. Obviously they were drugged up and internal injuries could have been significant.

I thought they handled it pretty well given how weird that whole thing was.

Swedish sisters escape death after running on to M6 motorway

This is the terrifying moment a young woman cheats death by dashing across a busy Midland motorway, somehow surviving being mowed down by a 44-tonne lorry.

The Swedish woman miraculously made a full recovery after being hit by the truck as she broke away from traffic police and ran into the path of oncoming traffic.

Her twin sister also survived being run over seconds later, this time by a silver car, to make it a doubly lucky escape from two accidents which usually would have resulted in death, according to police.

The pair were first spotted by motorway police walking down the central reservation near J15 of the M6 close to Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

After motorway police picked up the pair for their dangerous antics and began questioning them on the hard shoulder, one suddenly grappled free and shot off into the middle of the motorway into the path of an oncoming lorry.

In dramatic images aired on the BBC, the woman can be seen getting caught underneath the lorry, which was travelling between 60-70 mph, to the horror of the onlooking police and motorists.

Moments later the other sister did the same and got hit by a silver car at high speed.

But to add to the bizarre sequence of events, the second sister soon regained concsiousness, got back up and tried to run off again as police fought to restrain her.

She can be seen leaping a barrier and charging off towards more oncoming traffic after flooring a police officer.

It took six people, including members of the public, to finally apprehend the highly strung Swede while the sister who was struck by a lorry lay in a critical condition.

Both, somehow, made a full recovery and one sister has since been convicted of assault and sentenced to a day in prison.

Chief Supt Int Kevin O’Leary of Central Motorway Police Group, said: “It was a horrendous accident and it’s a miracle that one, let alone both survived.

“Accidents like that and at that speed can often lead to fatalities. I have seen similar incidents where people have died.

“It was an unpleasant incident and involved a lot of trauma for those involved, not just for motorists, but for police and the highways agency staff also.

“We usually turn up after these sort of incidents so we’re not used to seeing this things actually happen.

“To be there and to catch it on film too was very rare indeed.

“It really was extraordinary that both of them survived – I haven’t seen anything like it before.

“We don’t know why they were doing this but one officer said she thought they might be under the influence of drugs.”

PC Tracey Cope, who attended the scene, said: “As she ran out he tried to grab her instinctively, luckily for him her jacket came off so he could have been in the carriageway as well when she was obviously struck by the HGV. Once the first girl ran out the second one for some reason decided she was going to run out into the traffic as well.”

I googled the twins and found this. Three days later, one of the twins stabbed a 54 yr old guy to death and jumps off a bridge. The defense wants to have a psychiatric evaluation for clearly understandable reasons.

It looks like a sad case of mental illness.

 

Those cops seem more interested in telling the story to the camera than doing their job. Especially the female cop who looks behind her and screams at the other officers after she gets flipped over. Keep your eye on the prize woman.

 

I will say those British cops had cool black and white checked ties. Those were pretty awesome. It was like 2-Tone had taken over the police force.

It looked like she might've used a Judo move on the female cop, ouchigari (inner leg sweep).

 

I read the link to the Swedish paper about one of them stabbing somebody and in the article it said that the twins are in their 40's. I have to admit for being in their 40's and psychotic they look really good.

 

Perhaps a rocket launcher would have come in handy.
