First you could have had Howard and Parsons sets picks for Harden with Howard rolling to the basket and Parsons popping out to the 3.

The best play would have been Parsons inbounding the ball to Harden, then cuts through the baseline. Howard sets a pick for a pnr with Harden. Parsons continues his cut and comes off of 2 stagger screens for Casspi and Jones.

You have the drive from Harden if the defenders overplay Parsons, if they help on the drive kick it for 3. Harden can also drop it off for Jones or Casspi who flash in the paint if there man leaves to help.

You have 2 guys guarding a deadly pnr, with the other 3 defenders being forced to actively defend the 3.

Let harden drive in, draw the defender, kick it out. Or let him get the foul

    A couple of things.

1.) People seem to ignore that McHale drew up a nice play to get Parsons open for his 10th 3-pointer with just under two minutes to go.
Started out as if the Rockets were going to go to one of their usual plays, with the twist being that Dwight set a twist screen to get Parsons open.

2.) Though I did not love that final play, Dwight once again set an utterly crappy screen, which got Parsons pretty much no separation and essentially killed the possession.
Dwight's screening has been an issue all year and really for much of Dwight's career. The guy just does not set good screens very often.

PS: The Rockets have gone to their elevator play a handful of times this year, including once in their earlier match-up against the Grizzlies, however they haven't had much success with it so far -- mostly because the Rockets don't have great catch&shoot players and to a lesser degree because the Rockets' version is a little more simplistic and easier to see coming than the Warriors main elevator set.

It's generous of you to even call that a pick.
