I translated an article about Yao just to find out someone already did. Luckily not many people noticed or bothered to read it.
How the hell do you find your very first post? At least I will always know how to get to my last one.
my first post was in a "where are you from" thread. my second post: i agree. the rox are my favorite team in all of basketball(longhorns in football!)and that was probably the worst performance by a "professional" team i've ever seen. "the dribble, dribble, dribble, heave,..." "offense" is truly offensive to me. this IS a freaking "team sport," is it not? standing around the 3-point line by ALL players while cat and stevie dribble is disgusting. nachbar couldn't defend any player at the div. I-A level if his life depended on it. this is extremely depressing. living in austin i have to buy the League Pass every year to just to see the rockets and i'm feeling ripped-off. the only thing i see coming out of the return of "starters" such as "The Black Hole"(taylor) and "The Knee Pad"(rice)is a bit less dribbling and a lot more heaving. i need a drink. 11/02/02
he says about the team that went straight to the lottery. I lurked for quite a while before registering, but it seems I was quite the sunshine ass. My second post I started a thread. Bad Hydra.
I do not know what mine first was, i do not have a search function. But i think it was either a post where i was defending Francis, or a post about european players.
This isn't my first post, but it is the farthest back the search engine will go. It was a thread titled "Why I think Costas is a big loser. (which was a double-entendre, because a good friend of mine had just moved to L.A.) I'm not sure why the earlier ones aren't on there, anymore. This was from Nov. 1999, and I had posted many times before.
Ah I still love mine. Then DoD says something like "am I the only one that completely fried my brain trying to understand what you said?" Thus began a tumultuous relationship to say the least.
That was under my first user name back in 2000 before I lost my user name in THE BET. Hydra (aka StupidMoniker) and a few others will know what I'm talking about.
My first post was in the squirrel picture leaching thread that Mr. Oily started up. Sadly, I can find neither on these boards anymore.
Way back in late 1999 although I lurked before that. Looks like desperation in my days before moving to Apple started my obsession with this forum...
Mine is not too bad. I'm much more embarrassed by the "cheerleading" posts I made trying to get the vets here to post more. With the flood of new members after the Yao draft, a bunch went into lurk mode. Heck, a bunch are still in lurk mode! I wish I hadn't lurked for years myself. I'm struck by how few replies there were to most threads then... far fewer members, and much better duiscussion (not from me!), in the main. And I still have the same signature. This is from giddy's thread, "The Truth about Mo T" 03-29-2002 03:48 AM He certainly led us into the first quarter of games last season. Taylor of the last 30 games or so gave us a taste of what he could do... as has been noted before. Hope he gets healthy and consistent. Some of our guys are rarely one and never the other. Oh, and howdy folks... I will now return to lurk mode having finally made the dreaded first post. __________________ "When in danger or in doubt, run in circles... scream & shout."
I lurked for over a year befor I first posted. I can not believe I wasted my first post on talking about a team I do not even like.
