1989-1991 Black 1984 Camaro. Cracked A-Frame (when I bought it apparently from LandShark Chevy) put it out to pasture.

1991-1995 1982 Toyota Celica 5 speed. Hand me down from my bro who got it from our step dad. Ugliest f-car onthe planet. Faded baby blue paint but that thing was indestructible... until the engine cracked (or something) and the oil leaked into parts of the engine that aren't supposed to get oil in them. (Can you tell I don't know Jacque Sheet about cars...)

1995-2000 Granddad's 1992 Black Mazda B2600 Truck. Got it after my granddad died. I loved that truck and it was as tough as nails. Gave my grandma 11K for it to help her out. My mom gave me 4K for it so I could buy my current car.

2000-anybody wanna buy a: 2000 VW Jetta 1.8T Black. Brand Spankin' New. You all have probably read the threads about my windows, still pisses me off thinking about it. Love that car though, it is so freakin' quick and rides like it is on rails. Nazi engineering baby. Can't go wrong (unless you let an American design the interior and then put it together in a factory in Mexico apparently. )

I think my next car is going to be another used one, probably a certified one a year or so old. So much better deals on those...

    1992-present:

1992 Nissan Stanza (141,000 miles) very basic, backup car
    1993 Subaru Legacy (90,000 miles) errand/windsurf/bike/tow car
    1996 Suzuki GS500 (7,300 miles) daily commuter

All my vehicles still run well. Insurance is cheap for such old vehicles. I'd love to replace the Nissan with a Subaru WRX and make the Legacy my backup car, and add a Suzuki SV650 as a daily commuter and turn the GS500 into a track bike later.

1991-1993: 1974 Porsche 914 (I actually totalled it during this time period, bought it back at auction, bought another Porsche of the same model and put my old engine in the new body. It ended up being a profitable accident.)

    1993-2000: None

    2000-present: 1998 Honda Civic

And will soon be looking for a second car.

    1994 - 1997 Chevy S-10
    1997 - present Saturn SL2

I've been thinking about getting a new car but I don't drive much. I've also considered not having a car at all since I take public transportation to work and my wife has a car. Tough decisions.

1991-1992: 1978 Olds Cutlass (silver). Inherited. ("big silver boat")

1992-2001: 1992 Saturn SL1 (white). Graduation present. (various names... "Mardi Gras-mobile" and "discomobile"... long stories) I was extremely attached to this one, despite its frequent electrical problems and expensive repairs, until the timing chain broke on 290 outside Brenham. I was able to get the car resurrected, but wasn't sure how long I could trust it, so I switched to...

2001-present: 1994 Chevrolet Silverado pickup (teal green). "The Green Monster" Bought it from my father-in-law for about half of what it was worth. Still in good shape (never had great gas mileage though).
