We haven't had one of these threads in awhile... List your vehicle history: 1989-1991 - a brown 1980 Datsun 510, 4 speed 1991-1997 - a gold 1990 Ford Escort LX, 5 speed (surprisingly a good car but terrible horsepower at 88, LOL) 1997-1998 - a white 1992 Honda Prelude SI, 5 speed (the worst car I ever owned which was a surprise; car was a complete lemon - I was Looney Toon 7 years ago!) 1998-2001 - a hunter green 1994 Toyota Camry LE V6, automatic (great car but not sporty enough for me) 2001-present - a white 1997 Nissan Maxima SE (the best car I have owned so far) I plan on driving my Maxima for another 2 years or so (it has close to 112,000 miles) and then try to get a used Infiniti G35 or possibly a BMW 3 series.
1993-1995 - Before I was liscensed, I used to steal my parents '86 Ram Charger, Once ripped the paneling off the side of the garage trying to back the beast out. Repaired it in less than an hour with some nails I found and whiteout to hide the fresh nail heads. Good times 1995-2001 '83 Ford Thunderbird. Went through two engines and when we sold it it was a wreck 2001-2003 ' Same Ram Charger as above , by this time my sister had been driving it around for a couple of years and it was trashed. 2003-present '03 Mazdaspeed Protege My first new car that I payed for myself, I love it, I would marry it.
1988-1997 : '88 Toyota Camry, 130k miles 1997-2003 : '97 Nissan Maxima, 128k miles 2003-???? : '04 Acura TL, 17k miles
2000-2003 1996 Honda Motorcycle(wasnt mine, neither did I have a liscence, but thats what got me around) 2003- Mercury Tracer 1994 2004 - Mitsubishi Galant 1998
I had forgotten that you got a new car, DoD. Weren't you looking at getting an Infiniti? What made you go with the Acura?
'93 -'94 -- 1989 grey Ford Thunderbird LX. It was my mom's car so it had all the options available. Too bad it wasn't a SuperCoupe, though. '94 - present -- 1993 white Ford Mustang GT hatchback. 10 years and 147K miles and still going strong. Still looks damn good, too. If I ever start making a decent amount of cash, I'll garage the Mustang and get something else for a daily driver....like the new Mustang.

Better interior, better gadgets , better ride, wasn't as ubiquitous as the G35, but now a lot of people are buying the TL. I can now say I've own cars from the Japanese Big 3.
1999-Present: 2000 Ford Focus. I was 18 ,had zero credit, and only $1,500 for a down payment, so this bad boy is the only car they would finance me on. It's been good to me, and I paid it off last month. I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off. My friends make fun of me, but hey, I'm not the one making $350 car payments every month.
1987-1990 Parents car (usually 1984 Olds Cutlass) 1991-1993 1985 Chevy S-10 1994-1996 1994 Nissan 4x4 1996-1999 1996 Chevy s-10 4x4 1999-2004 2000 Chevy Silverado
1989-1992-Mustang 302 HO. 1992-present 1992 Mustang GT--180,000 miles, just ran a 13.6 at the track, no rust(anymore) , getting ready to replace motor with a 347 stroker.
1976-77 1962 Ford Falcon stationwagon - Straight 6; 1 barrel carb; 2 speed auto - you do the math on top speed {65mph for you who want to compare your answer}. No air. 1 speaker AM radio for jammin to the oldies or talk radio since that's all you could get. Actually this was my parent's car that I learned to drive on - the rest were mine. 1977-79 1969 Camaro SS/RS - Barely any of it was stock. I about killed myself and others in that car more times than I'd care to recall. I sold it for for that reason - it was only a matter of time before my "luck" ran out. That and it was a money pit by either adding more performance parts or fixing something that broke. What were my parents thinking by getting me this car? 1979-82 1973 Mercury Marquis Brougham - How sad is it to go from the above car to this? But even sadder - it gets worse. 1982-84 1976 Chevette - Yes this is the worse I was alluding to. Green with BIG brown "racing" stripes and a 4 speed. Suh-weeet. 1984-85 1984 Mercury Cougar - A gift I totalled without full coverage. 1985-86 1982 Mercury Lynx - 2 tone - another Suh-weet ride. 1986-92 1984 Renault Alliance - And I thought the Chevette was going to be the worst car I'd ever own. 1992-96 1990 Subaru Legacy - Smooth running but never buy a first year car as this one had lots of bugs. 1996-2001 1994 Ford Taurus - Actually not a bad car. 2002-Present 1998 Lexus ES300 - Glorified fully loaded Camry which is what I was looking for.
1984-Present: International Harvester 4wd pickup, it was my father's before he handed it down to me. Re-engined with Cummins Diesel and will tow the Nimitz if necessary. 1996-Present: 1986 Porsche 928, bought it wrecked with a blown motor and tons of damage for next to nothing. Restored it to like new condition, repainted it Corvette torch red and have done a lot of work to the motor. She runs better than new, but with all the stormy weather recently, she had spend the last several weeks on the lift in my garage. 2004-Present: 1978 Trans AM, bought it for a 1,000 dollars with no rust or motor. Put a 1993 Corvette LT1 motor in it (had to rebuild it, but hell, I got it cheap), new suspension, new interior and repainted it in "Bandit" colors. It runs like a champ and is the best 5 grand I've ever put into a car. 2003-Present: 1999 Nissan Maxima, I bought her used for only 12 grand cash and along with the Armada, is the only car I have full-coverage insurance upon. It is my daily driver 50 percent of the time. 2004-Present: Nissan Armada SUV. I got this truck through a promotion with a dealership that advertises on my radio program. The only thing I have to pay is gas and insurance and tax, but she is worth it. Fortunately, my wife tolerates my vehicular addiction and allows me to keep my "big toyz" for "big boyz." I love to play golf, I love to fish and I love to occasionally bow hunt, but working on cars is my life.

1983-1988 - 1976 Ford Capri -- evenutally sold it for $100. The buyer got taken. 1985-1995 - Yamiha Maxim -- rode though sun, rain and light snow... 1988-1990 - Chevy Sprint - cheapest car on the lot...bought without a test drive. Learned to drive a stick on the way home from the lot. 1990-1992 - 1976? MGB. Very cool car. Unfortunately, i know just enough about cars to keep 'em running, but not enough to keep 'em running well. If you own a british made car, you have to be a better mechanic than that. 1992 to present -- 1992 Jeep YJ..but sadly, cannot anchor two child seats, so soon to be sold in favour of something bigger and less fun.
