'97-'98 - 1982 Vokswagen Rabbit hatchback. It was primer colored and had an orange interior. We traded a washer and dryer for it. It had just been sitting out in Lubbock for about 3-4 years. It didn't run and my dad and I basically rebuilt it. '98-present - 1991 Honda Accord. This one started out alright but now its just a POS especially since it doesn't have any air conditioning. My parents don't like me driving long distances 'cause they don't know if the car will make it. I have no idea when I'll get a new car but I definitely look forward to that day.
April 2000-June 2002: 1999 Chevy Cavalier Rally Sport June 2002-March 2003: 2001 Chevy Camaro (dad suprised me with this car for HS graduation. I did not complain about it, because you just can't complain about a car your parents are paying for....BUT, probably one of the last cars I ever would have picked.) March 2003-December 2004: 2002 Mercury Mountaineer V8 December 2004-Present: 2003 Volkswagon Jetta 1.8 Turbo I'm only 21, so I can say I've been very lucky to have driven nice cars since I turned 16. My dad has a thing for cars so he's always hooked me up good. The only car I've asked for was the Cavalier. The Camaro was a suprise for graduation, the Mountaineer I got because my dad got married and gave me the choice of keeping the Camaro or having his Mountaineer and trading in the one I didn't want, and the Jetta I got when my dad bought a Lexus SC430.
Yep, I just passed the 20,000 mark like a month ago. The first year I owned the truck I didn't drive it around that much. It was just for when I wanted to drive down from Fort Worth to Houston. (When I was attending TCU) I lived on campus so I didn't use it all that much. I've put most of those miles on in the last 2 years.
1985 - 1995 I got my first car: a used 1981 Honda Civic (parents bought it for me when I was 16). When I sold it (for a couple hundred dollars) it was on its second engine, had well over 200,000 miles on it. 1995 - 1997 I had a 1983 Nissan Sentra (previous car died. Bought it for $1500) This thing was a POS before I bought it (and I knew it). But I needed a car quick. 1997 - present I have a 1997 Toyota Rav4 (previous car died. Bought a brand new car) Paid it off in three years. From 2000 - 2005 I had no car payments at all. It currently has 133,000 miles on it. 20 years.... three cars. recently, my wife's car died and we bought her a 2005 Toyota Sienna van. Generally, cars are a very poor investment so I drive 'em til they drop.
1996-2001 - 1987 Volvo 240 DL (lost to Tropical Storm Allison) 2003-2005 - 2001 Ford Taurus 2005-Present - 2005 Volvo S60R <-- so much fun to drive
93-95 82 ford escort. . . . need I say more. It was white, with pink purple and blue pin stripes. My friends nicknamed it the easter egg. 95-98 82 camero probably the most comfortable car i have ridden in 98-2000 92 Explorer. 2 dead deer later I traded it in for a. . . 2000-2005 92 Honda Accord. I loved this car it is being sold as we speak. Present. 2006 Ford F150, required for work or I would still be driving my Honda until it died. Oh well work pays for it.

Cohen - Have you heard anything about the new G35? I know it is being pre-viewed at some auto show in April, btu haven't heard much else? I drive a 2002 Lexus IS300. Only 22,000 miles, and fully paid off, but I am easily tempted. The new IS is awesome, but too expensive. If the new G35 is equally awesome and reasonably priced I can be swayed!
1996 - 1996: 1991 Dodge Spirit (Total POS. Started leaking oil at only 65k mi) 1996 - 1997: 1994 Ford Probe GT - 5 Speed 1997 - 2005: 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra - 5 Speed Current: 2003 Aura CL Type S - 6 Speed
What does that mean? Explain! 1988/1989- '87 IROC-Z 1989/1993- '90 Mustang GT 1993/1997- '93 Saleen Mustang w/ over 400 HP, and I miss her so. Drunk lost control of his vehicle and wiped her out in my driveway. 1997/2000- '97 Chevy Pickmeup truck with lift. 2001-2005- '01 Nissan Xterra with lift. After 8 years of under 12 MPG I broke up with my love affair with trucks and 'neck tires. Never again. 2005-Present- '05 Nissan 350 Z Pikes Peak Touring 6-speed. Love her like a child.
JayZ750, I haven't heard about the new G35. We enjoyed it, wasn't quite as solid a car as the BMW but it handled great and was comfortable. And we're extremely happy with the M35.
1990-2004: 1985 Chevrolet S-10 lwb p/u w/camper shell (and them thangs, w/ as many as 6 subs & 3 amps at one time) -gave it to my bro.-in-law when he needed a vehicle- was pretty tricked out, made into the reader's rides section of MiniTruckin' magazine once... Hard to part with, now it's in some weeds in a field, my bro-in-law blew the engine a week after having the transmission replaced (it was nearly 20 yrs. old though... so then he bought him an oval. (<---he's had repairs on it already though ) 1997-2005: 1992 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 4dr Tahoe package (one sub, family vehicle ) -traded it in on the Aveo (see below) still rolling strong with over 200,000 miles on it... 2004-present: 2003 Chevrolet Astro AWD (is the family van, but has 500 watt amp w/2 15" JL subs... for when daddy is ridin' by himself ) 2005-present: 2004 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4dr hatchback (one sub, same one that was in the Blazer) -wife's work car All Chevy's. We did also have my wife's 1994 Dodge Shadow right as we were married in '96, but we gave it to my grandmother back in the same year... Yes. We like our bowties... but my dad has always driven ovals, so do her parents... hmmmm, maybe that's why we chose Chevy.
My first car was a 1989 Ford Thunderbird LX that belonged to my mom. A decent enough car that had all the options available for that time: premium stereo, leather, etc. I had many adventures in that car for the one year that it was mine. Then came my baby: A 1993 Ford Mustang GT hatchback. 5.0 V8, off-road exhaust. Chrome Pony rims and a white paint job with loads of pearl. I bought her in the summer of 1994 and she's my baby and still my primary mode of transportation. I named her Scarlett after her scarlett red interior. I just recently bought a motorcycle: a 1994 Honda Shadow V-Twin with an 1100 cc motor. Custom pipes and lots of chrome. She only has 6,000 miles on her. I named her Grace (after the song Amazing Grace, and not the gay rapist in Pulp Fiction).
