I think people shouldn't make too much of "the people" when traveling, its all subjective to the few experiences you have with the few people you meet. I can go to the most beautiful country, with a lot of beautiful very nice people, but have a couple of bad experiences with some assholes and all of the sudden "the people sucks" or are mean, rude etc when that doesn't really represent the majority at all.
You're right to an extent. Although I have never traveled to a new country without trying out one of their women. So for me I get an intimate and rather deep impression of the people in a country.
If you're paying US taxes regardless of where you live, you might as well live in the US. Even if you're not paying US taxes, US would be one of the top places to live. If you're paying US taxes, it's a no-brainer. Tax rant aside, I wouldn't kill myself if I woke up one day and found myself living in Sydney, Tokyo or Vancouver.
USA UK (London) Spain Travel and lived in many places around the world. I'm hoping to retire in Spain. Cheap, beautiful and amazing food and wine... what more can you ask for?
I heard Toronto was the shiznit. Didn't they have like city-wide wifi from the mid 2000s or something?
